If we want to keep inbounds, could we make TAA a redirect?

If one of the existing options which doesn't list a valid reason for cutting actually has a valid reason, that's fine. We should list the valid reason. I'm just saying that in general, we shouldn't have entries on the crowner which don't list valid reasons. And right now, we have several, because "invites drama" is most definitely not a valid reason for cutting.

(Disclaimer: I know absolutely nothing about TAA. I did, however, give it a downvote, because no valid reason for cutting had been offered.)

Cutting is a fairly drastic measure. I think we need to take some care to ensure that this thread doesn't become a stealth way for people to get rid of sites they hate. Because "I hate it" is definitely not a valid reason for cutting, but it's a very tempting reason to vote for a cut...

I've said this before, but personally I feel like how drastic cutting is as an option depends a whole lot on how relevant the page actually is. A lot of these RL things that are only tangentially on-mission at best shouldn't be held to the same standard as actual work or trope pages.

You want to be careful how loosely you interpret "not held to the same standard". Flame Bait is Flame Bait, after all.

That's the opposite of what I'm arguing - I think we don't need to put nearly as much effort into salvaging vs. just cutting when a troublesome page is only barely on-mission to begin with.

I wasn't referring to you specifically; I was using it to refer to the casual editors (read: trolls) who could easily take weakened standards as carte blanche to run wild (cf the unbridled shitshows that were Wall Banger and especially Ultimate Troll Entry).

TLDR: Troll bait needs to be snubbed close ASAP, preferably before it gets out of hand.

I think that's a good idea. I would say Wikia wouldn't be out of place as a Useful Notes page, but considering the amount there, it's just a stub anyway, unless we create one basically from scratch.

I added Wikia to the crowner. In regards to the Wikis , I'd say they're mostly unique enough to stay on their own pages, since it looks like most of them have more than three examples.

But could Wikia itself become an index?

I suppose, but it seems more like a collection of external links than an index.

I don't know how common it is to use a hosting platform as an index, because Youtube, for example, isn't treated as one, but Twitch is.

If we're going to make it an index, then leave it under the Website namespace instead of making it a Useful Notes page, but don't allow tropes.

Is Ustream something that we can trope? It's a pretty small page and while the first entry tropes its userbase (under Attention Whore), I can see an argument made along the same lines why we have a page for YouTube.
