Do you think the party has committed political suicide after the election fraud claims and the Capitol riot?

I feel like we’re done for unless we denounce Trump, which I unfortunately don’t see happening for a good long while.

What DO conservatives have? The celebrity class hates them. They won’t make their own entertainment. They stick to the kiddy pool of political commentary. What sort of voice do they have? They’re powerless.

What we really need is conservatives with balls. Like stop caving to people when you speak out against something you think is bad. Ignore the backlash and stand your ground. I hear all this talk about the “high road” and where does it get us? The more liberal viewpoint is increasingly becoming more and more into the status quo. We need some people who are willing to fight back and hold their own and stop bending over backwards for people that will never be happy and will hate you no matter what you do for them

There’s way too much whining and complaining on the conservative side. “Waa, Biden said this, let’s fixate on this one fucking comment with butthurt passive-aggressive comments for days on end, please agree with us.” No. No, I won’t.

You know one issue I would love conservatives to do is to motivate people to get to facing up to China.

A war with China is pretty much a given at this point - the situation in the South China Sea will get out of control, it will get out of control and we will be lucky to live through it.^note Yes I love The Hunt for Red October, can ya tell?

Oh no. They aren’t even gonna raise a finger against Beijing. Even though it’s the CCP’s fault for the COVID-19 pandemic in the first place, we’ll be lucky if Washington (and by extension the outer world) will even pinky-slap them. They build up their military and land-grab, we try to find ways to put heavily-pregnant in danger of the war-zone.

That's the most infuriating part as well. The CCP has everyone in their hands. And all this talk about how we should never forget is now shown to be cold words, because we fold even harder to the CCP than we did with you know who.

I’m a Canadian Tory and I don’t know whether or not Tropers would generally consider that to be under the definition of Conservative Troper.

They need to stop being so spineless first and put themselves out there, willing to deal with any backlash their critics will no doubt be ready to attack. But the important thing is not backing down. Too many have done so, which is why they're getting weaker and weaker

I guess. I think the creator is technically a libertarian, and the show is supposed to be poking fun at conservative working class white, although it's quite popular among that demographic.

Again, I'm not a conservative, but I check on this thread occasionally and I'm popping in to offer some help.

While it is true that works with a distinct conservative bent are rare in most mediums (the only exception I can think of is Blue Bloods), there are quite a few conservative authors, including:

• Ayn Rand

• Dean Koontz

• John Ringo

• Ira Tabankin

• Tom Kratman

• Tom Clancy

Notice the negativity in many of the tropes

Yeah, it does seem that again liberal people dominate fiction.

Do you mean in the tropes themselves, or in the way the entries are written? Because the latter would be indicative of a bias on the part of the tropers here, but the former might say something about the author's ability or beliefs.
