[up]Cool. So are the Green Lantern parts based on Green Lantern: The Animated Series, and if so is the premise here a play on Peter and Hal both being voiced by Josh Keaton?

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.

I've hit a snag in my Spider-Lantern fic.

I don't know who to give Peter to fight.

"Marvel characters who could fight green lanterns" isn't yielding much from google, and I don't just want to give him the Avengers/Fantastic Four baddies.

I've also got Flash getting bit by the spider and, spoilers, becoming Spider-Man, so giving Peter Spider-Man villains would be taking away characters from him.

I think part of it is a frustration at my own lack of imagination and google not giving me anything but fucking Ultron, Thanos, Super-Skrull and Galactus.

My various fanfics.

What about Green Lantern villains?

Or, failing that, you could invent some new baddies of your own.

[up][up] Umm, there are plenty of villains who can fight green lanterns in Marvel.

I took it, AND THREW IT ON THE GROUND!

I'm sure there are. But a lot of the ones I can think of are either too iconic to a different hero/team (Ultron, Magneto, Dr. Doom) or too big for Peter to start with (Annihilus, Thanos, Galactus).

You could try fusing Marvel and Green Lantern villains together. How about a Sinestero/Green Goblin hybrid?

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.

Been brainstorming a Comic Book/Exiles style story in the vein of my similar DC story, using Marvel characters from different animated universes.

My primary mission is to avoid too much overlap and use characters who wouldn't normally interact in any form of marvel media.

Right now, I got The Wasp from The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and the X-Men: Evolution version of Colossus.

Want to keep background power overlap to a minimum as well, so Piotr will be the only mutant. I'd like one Mutant, one Tech based character of some sort (though I'd like to avoid Iron Man, even though I like him), someone who gained their powers through outside influence (hence Janet) a potential alien or someone who got their powers through alien influence, a Bad Ass Normal of some sort, and maybe a magic user.

It's not gonna be an easy team to build, and I want to avoid too much overlap of powers. I'm also ruling out Spider-Man in pretty much all his incarnations as well. Any suggestions on who I can use (if they've appeared in animation) would be great.

As far as Badass Normal / tech-based characters go, I've always been enamored with the Prowler. His look and name are both badass, and as far as Marvel characters I'm familiar with, I feel that he's the purest example of a Gadgeteer Genius (in that he doesn't have an obvious gimmick he's married to like the Rocket Racer or Iron Man/'s associated characters).

And I specify Prowler in particular because despite having a costume packed full of nifty gadgets, he doesn't go the whole hog with Powered Armor like certain other people do. Which is why I think he suits "tech-based" as well as Badass Normal. In fact, he probably qualifies more as a BAN than a "tech character".

Sure, he's usually cast as a villain/antagonist, but Hobie's usually a pretty swell guy as far as I've seen. And since you're doing an Exiles-type story, there's no reason you can't use (or, hell, make) some version of him that's a hero (anti- or otherwise). And yes, he appeared in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

Not too familiar with magic-based characters in Marvel outside of Doctor Strange (to be fair, he does it better than literally everyone else).

Oh yeah. Hobie did appear in 90's Spiderman (I remember that particular ep).

And if I'm sticking to my animation rule (which I admit, might not last) he'd be a good choice. I'll have to look up more stuff on the Prowler as outside of the aforementioned 90's appearance, and a single comic that I read with him in it (comically enough, he briefly fights against Rocket Racer, who you just mentioned as well), I know little about him.

I recall him being able to fly and shoot lasers due to the suit in that animated appearance, but beyond that I have no clue what else he can do.

Still he's a good one, so as of now, it's:

Thanks. That's a good one.

I don't remember him being able to fly, but rather (and this may be mixing it up with some information from a comic encyclopedia I have) he had pneumatic jets (or maybe some kind of spring technology, I forget) in his boots that let him make incredible jumps, his cape was made out of some special fiber that could enable him to glide (not unlike Batman's cape), and his gauntlets had claws that could allow him to scale buildings.

At least, that's what I recall.

If you need a magic-based hero, I suggest having Toruun. She's an Asgardian, but she's far from having mystic knowledge on level of Thor or Loki because she was raised on Earth by Tony Stark of all people.

Oh yeah. I forgot about Next Avengers.

Hmm...I'll keep it in mind, but it's not a slam dunk yet.
