Some double standard I've noticed with Coco. She admits she wears sunglasses not just because they're fashionable but also because it lets her stare at attractive women without getting caught (after the Fall) and most of the FNDM brushed it off?

Can you Imagine if Jaune or Sun said that?

I mean, no one has really minded Neptunes ladies man-ness, aside from when Jaune suggests if he wanted to seriously talk to someone he should just be himself.

And also, I think the reason Bumblby hasn't just been Confirmed yet, is contrary to what certain people say they don't want to rush it and want it to be a natural progression

You can blame that for the FNDM's rather immature behavior in general. Not helping matters being those who let it go because Girl on Girl Is Hot.

Before the Dawn has unfortunately also given Sun-haters more ammunition. A few days back I mentioned a certain "wasp"? Yeah, turns out they're not only a troper on here, they've been known in the past to try and shoehorn in entries demonizing Sun and whitewashing Bumblebee shippers in the Ship-to-Ship Combat. And with Before the Dawn they're going full force in applying Ron the Death Eater to him, saying that he's been absolved of fault for years now (which itself isn't true since Blake calls him out when she sees him in Volume 4 and he even admits he sucks as a Leader in the main series and in the book) and that now he's a stalker comparable to Adam and that people defending him are just mad he's got "real flaws" now, or that they "don't understand his character". Seriously, they try to keep moral superiority when its clear they're just another wasp looking for reasons to hate on him, only pointing out flaws and ignoring positives.

• And yes, this guy is a Wasp. They try and say that Armed and Ready is a song about Yang related to Blake and that anyone who thinks she's talking about going after Ruby is delusional. Seriously. And that "some songs are canon and others aren't" to justify that belief and just as easily write off Like Morning Follows Night in the same sentence.

Seriously, yeah, SSN has a right to be mad at Sun, but to ignore the fact Sun had a legitimate reason for running off and that this isn't a black and white situation is annoying. Right now SSN thinks Sun ran off purely because he was chasing after a girl he had a thing for, and Sun doesn't fully understand why they needed him since he's already had to lose loved ones and care for himself so he probably thinks they'd be able to care for themselves. This is a case of Both Sides Have a Point and each side needs to come to the understanding of each others points.

The Double Standard is in reference to the fans, not In-Universe, since Neptune being a Casanova Wannabe has been seen as a sticking point for his detractors.

And the relationship between Blake and Yang has been anything but natural.

• They barely interact in Volume 1.
• Their one major interaction in Volume 2 was Yang practically reading her the riot act and the two sharing a dance.
• They barely interact in Volume 3 until Adam cuts off Yang's arm.
• Yang barely thinks about Blake in Volume 4 and Blake is angsting about abandoning her team in general in Volume 4.
• Yang hates Blake's guts until Weiss reads her the riot act in Volume 5 and Blake doesn't even think about Yang until she gets to Haven.
• There is nothing but tension between the two until the Declaration of Protection in Volume 6.
• They're endlessly "not-flirting" in Volume 7.

Seriously, their relationship seems rather clumsily written, especially notable when the other relationship in the series, Renora, is much better written and paced.

Also yeah Yang/Blake ship did jump up from subtle slow build to bad flirting

Guess you could say that nearly dying a few times convinced them to try hurry up so the don't end up like Arkos (too soon?)

I think it's been long enough that we don't have to worry about Arkos or Phyrra jokes being "too soon"...

I like to think if the "Phyrra Spirit" is true well get a whole lot of Simmular jokes In-Universe given who'd she'd interacting with, like Cinder nicknaming Phyrra "Dusty".

I will said they are not confirming bumbeblee because they want to make it slow and come into his own right rather than botched and hell relationshipt dosent need to be confirmed in show to happen, look anag and katara, everone know they were a thing but thye get confirm IN THE LAST SCENE OF THE SHOW...and it was just fine.

I get some of the critics of whatever is good or not but at times I feel they want confirmation because is a demand, specially when acusation of queerbating there is a sort of "you confirmed NOW or else".

Rebel:

-I mean, when yang talk to Blake, she didnt just talk, she went in a quiet place and told her a deeply memory of their childhood and what she wanted to do(find her mother) something I dont think even Ruby know, in terms of being closed, that is A LOT.

-As much people hate the thole "Adam got struck because lesbians" which as adam fan I hate for a lot of reason, is reaaaaally hard not to see that interaction as bitter ex hurting the current girlfriend, Adam others coment about them in the fight dosent help matters.

-The tension about it is about Adam and what he done which cuminate in said declaration of protection and general closeness on it.

-And them they are now none flirting...which is weird because it have being like what, a week or a month of killing a man? meh.

I mean it have being little but it have being consistent theme about it and is more than enough.

Meanwhile I dont think renora is better writen, is just easier to see it because we know for sure Nora is in love, hell nobody said boop is none canon lile blake.

Should also mention that, in spite of their lack of interaction beforehand, the two of them are somehow in sync enough to be better tag partners than the two Ace-Ops known for working as a tag team. And also apparently defensive of each other enough that Marrow just making what he thought was a helpful suggestion to them in that they could benefit partnering with others is met with Red Eyes, Take Warning from Yang and contempt from both of them.

Not a sledgehammer, otherwise we wouldn't have had the Big Damn Kiss. They're just in a rough patch since Ren is still bottling up his issues rather than talking to Nora about it.

That is more of yang quick temper than anything, granted that and her judgmental nature that is copping up is getting more and more turn off of bumblebee as of late, the last thing blake need is another quick temper anger person in her life.

...Which is maybe why they are going slow, I hope that i guess.

And there is also that Nora isnt the best with feeling as she is very quick to react to somthing she dosent like as she did with Ironwood coment.

Considering no one else was willing to call Ironwood out on his dismissal of Mantle, her anger was rather justified. Plus the fact it's all but said she's from Solitas so it probably hit home for her.

I dont disagree with that but yelling kinda show how nora often make a point: by being loud, the same happen when she suddenly kiss ren, nora dosent do sublety.

Is ether that or he will sue that moment to said how they weren prepared..because reallyt hey werent.

Nora can actually be a good means of getting his head on right however. Just look at how she got him to senses during the whole Nuckleavee fight. And she can do calm and subtlety. Such as her You Are Better Than You Think You Are she gave to Jaune in Argus.

Team JNR cracked under the pressure and them + Oscar lost to Neo. Qrow teamed up with Tyrian and got Clover killed.

Meanwhile RWBY take out Ace Ops, secure Penny and chase off Cinder before escaping.

Makes everyone bar team RWBY look incompetent

Ren and Nora's argument before the Big Damn Kiss is pretty much a microcosm of Ren's issues: Nora is willing to be his shoulder to cry on, but Ren refuses to cry. It honestly is to be expected. Following the idea Semblances are reflective of one's personality, Ren's is pretty much emotional repression, it doesn't erase the emotions, it just calms them down temporarily so that they don't think about it. It doesn't address the issues, it just masks them. Ren's issue has been constantly bottling up his emotions for the sake of being a pillar for Nora. Just listen to this poem from Amity Arena's card "Flower Power".

Ren is constantly neutering his emotions for the sake of appearing strong. He's misconstruing the message his father Li wanted him to learn and his fathers last words. Ren is forcing himself to take action, he is forcing himself to be proactive. After what happened when RNJR ended up in Kuroyuri, he's been more protective of the people he cares for, namely Jaune and Nora, and has become focused on being proactive. His biggest issue right now is the idea that they aren't ready, and he's letting it consume them. Ren right now is doing nothing but take action, he refuses to sit idle and calm down under the idea they don't have time for things like personal issues. He's neutering his emotions and just endlessly pushing forward.

He's embodying the negative aspects of Monty's catchphrase: "Keep moving forward". Ren won't stop moving forward even when he really should. He's in a rush to move forward, and is tossing aside all things that would get in the way. This isn't the first time this has happened either. When he saw the Nuckleavee at Kuroyuri again, he was so overcome with rage that he rushed at it like a madman, uncaring for his own personal safety in the process. This appears to be Ren's Fatal Flaw. He is misusing his father's lesson. He is forcing himself to take action to his own detriment, and forcing himself to keep moving forward. Fitting that the one to deconstruct Monty's catchphrase is the character he voiced.
