I like and know about movies. My favorites are Jurassic Park, The Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King, and The Lego Movie.
It can't be helped.Thread...about...movies?
Well, shit, where has this thread been my whole life because holy fuck yes, I have a lot to talk about film.
My favorite movie: The Shawshank Redemption. Who here watched it?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Sure, why not. I did film studies, I'm sure I can sound... at least a little bit learn-ed.
I'm a big fan of Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino, although the latter is mostly due to the fact that my entire family are fans of his. Especially my sister. And now a friend of mine wants to see Pulp Fiction for the first time. It's going to be sweet.
I can't say I've seen that, but I know it's very different from the book. I can't help but feel like I'd get all confused because of this.

"If you think like a child, you will do a child's work."Oh yes, The Shawshank Redemption is my third favorite film, behind Guardians of the Galaxy and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It's also objectively the best film I've ever seen, seeing as it's the only movie I can't find any flaws in.
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"My favourite is likely Hour of the Wolf because of what it manages to do despite having basically no special effects.
"Did you expect somebody else?"So a couple of days ago, I met an old friend of mine and a friend of his. We all had a fair bit of time and interest in movies. We ended up talking for almost 5 hours straight, and two thirds of the talk was about movies. Before we got into talking about movies properly, I asked them what their favorite movies were. My friend said Saving Private Ryan, and his friend said Taxi Driver, upon which I immediately said "You. I like you." That movie is my second favorite movie of all time.
Speaking of Saving Private Ryan, I once had a Shakespearean class that taught Shakespearean movies. One of the movies was Shakespeare in Love, which as you all know, won Oscar for the Best Picture over Saving Private Ryan. After the course was done covering that movie, I asked the professor in her office hour if the movie deserved its Oscar.
I don't remember the details, but she said it did. I agreed with her in her face, but deepdown in my hearts I decided: She might be a good Shakespearan, but she doesn't know movies for shit, which was a very arrogant mindset, on hindsight.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Good God...The Shawshank Redemption...why are you so amazing.
"I hope that the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope." That's in my top 10 favorite movie quotes of all time.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'm wondering if I should be worrying that Disney became practically unstoppable as far as movie companies are concerned. I was hoping that Batman vs Superman would be a good competitor to Civil War, but now it's most likely that Civil War will emerge as a victor.
-sighs-
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Kinda sucks nobody really talks about the first Men in Black anymore save for neuralizer references, huh?

My all time favorite moment/line is "Oh I'm sorry, was that your auntie?"
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I must say, James Wan is possibly one of the most talented, if not lucrative, directors of our generation.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Quentin Tarantino interview on Pulp Fiction.
