I could agree with it being a subtrope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman^^ Yes, all those are covered. Also, there's no reason that a trope that is a subtrope of one wider trope can't also be the supertrope to a different, narrower trope.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.The point was, are all those situations also examples of Blessed with Suck?
Check out my fanfiction! So far all of the examples under Embarrassed Beauty would probably fit under So Beautiful, It's a Curse.
I don't think so. The Girls Bravo is when he dresses up as a girl, and not normally a source of problems. Maicchingu Machiko-sensei has someone who isn't really affected by her beauty as much as what happens to her. The last one has someone who's cute, which is the equivalent of bringing up someone's baby photos and them being embarrassed about it.
Check out my fanfiction!I've seen that Girls Bravo example and I'd definitely place it So Beautiful, It's a Curse. I don't think whatever problem a character's attractiveness is giving them has to be be a normal occurrence. As for the other two, if they don't have anything to do with a character's attractiveness they can be removed.
So... I didn't realise Embarrassed Beauty hadn't been launched yet, and tagged it on TabletopGame.Gloom. <_< Can't we launch it yet?
The character in question, Elissandre DeVille, is an illustrated lady too modest to take her clothes off and put her tattoos on display (one of several acts at Dark's Den of Deformity that are less-than-sensible business decisions). It's definitely not a case of So Beautiful, It's a Curse.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat sounds like a good example of the difference between the cursed one and embarrassed one. If it's her own personal sense of modesty you can't say that there's any curse on her because of her beauty.
I fully support Embarrassed Beauty being its own trope. Being embarrassed is not a curse; it is a natural human reaction. The YKTTW has four hat; can we have one more please?
Keep it breezy!Five hats aren't necessary. The problem we have is establishing what the relationship is between this trope and that YKTTW. Some people say they're the same and some people say they're not.
And, as you say, Elissandre is a good example of how they are different.
I think So Beautiful, It's a Curse might possibly be a subtrope, but I think it's more likely that it's just a plot device whereas Embarrassed Beauty is a character type.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableClocking.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerLocking.

You can be embarrassed about wanted attention too. And if you want to go by the words like that, since it includes jealousy, it would include any and all cases where someone is jealous of someone because of looks. And since it says suspicion as well, also any case where someone thinks the character may have gotten something at least partially because her looks rather than actual merits. Or someone who didn't get the role of the wicked witch because she wasn't ugly enough.
In other words, any time anything even remotely negative happens because of someone's good looks. And I think that's watering out the trope into meaningless.
It also claims to be a specific version of Blessed with Suck, which means subtrope, and that any example of this trope also fits Blessed with Suck.
