Just a Face and a Caption: Ensemble Darkhorse

While the main page doesn't have an image, all of the subpages for Ensemble Darkhorse are JAFAAC. Anime is just a picture of Jeremiah Gottwald. Comic Books is just an image of Wolverine. Film is just a picture of Boba Fett. Literature is just a picture of Luna Lovegood. Live Action TV is just a picture of Spike. None of the other subpages have a picture. Perhaps this trope doesn't really need an image, none of these examples illustrate the trope at all, other than the character shown being an example. An example that nobody will understand unless they keep up with each series.

While I agree with you, making threads about individual pages might be better.

The current page has an admin no-image tag, by the way.

The reasoning behind the no-image tag ("No image needed, thanks. Turns into fandumb. This is an admin request.") makes me think the subpage images should be removed as well.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings...this is something you'd pretty much need a lampshade to get across visually.

Well, it's been noted that she's a fan favorite (you could say, has an ensemble of fans) and that she's the pony princess of the night (you could say, a dark horse)... Know what I mean?

Hmmmm...well, if we can find a pic of the cast with her in it, and a caption that points her out and potholes to Visual Pun, I'd be alright with that on the main page, but still chuck the subpages.

Oh, whoops, forgot about the admin note. Kinda doubt we'll get this exception, unless we can pull off Rule of Funny very well.

There's probably a picture in here that could be used for MLPFIM. Like this one.◊

The pony pic would have gone on the main page to replace the admin note. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work for the FIM subpage...I'll ask.

Go ahead and put it on the pony:Darkhorse page. The fandumbness comes when people squabble over which image is THE Darkhorse Of All Things. Utterly pointless war.

So Emperor Palpatine is THE Big Bad of All Fiction? I still don't understand how image picking works for tropes with a lot of medium specific sub-pages. Can only Trope Tan or multi-medium crossovers be used?

If we had someone that could do art of Trope-tan depicting various tropes like Wikipe-tan has, that would be a big coup for us. Unfortunately, I know of no one who'd do that.

@17 Oooooh. Yeah, I always meant for the subpage. I probably should've specified. Screw putting it on the main page, that'd totally bring out edit wars.

@ Justanid: Palpatine hasn't caused edit wars on that page. The big rule on image changes is "Leave it alone if it isn't causing problems."
