Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

It was apparently intended to be launched as YMMV - the lack of a banner is probably just an accident or miscommunication.
That said, I agree that it should have never been launched. We don't need more Scrappy tropes, and this one in particular has some extra problems that are just going to make it a bashing magnet.
I've gone ahead and cutlisted AscendedIndex.Ascended Index; ~Leftywright, if you still think it's index-worthy feel free to put it through YKTTW.
Worklist:
- Hotaru No Nikki: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- FridgeBrilliance.KEKKAISHI: ~creader (and anyone else who might want to comment), is there a reason why it can't go on Fridge.KEKKAISHI.
- Remember the Tides: This page by ~Lewis Liddel needs crosswick, indexing and the Zero Context Examples cleaned up.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis Index Is On Purpose: I can see what the intent was, but I think Bad Writing Index covers the same ground. "When an author intentionally introduces flaws in their work", except we generally avoid determining if it was deliberate or accidental.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. From Breakout To Scrappy: That's going to attract bashing like rolling tumbleweeds, and I can see no merit to it. Cut it with prejudice.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettI also believe From Breakout To Scrappy should be cut, so that makes four motions to cut. Is this enough input to send it to the Cut List?
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Today's worklist is brief:
- Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san: Page that needs crosswicking.
- Murderpaddles: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- The Tale of Pigling Bland: Stub work page; creator messaged.
Today's worklist and some questions for some people:
- Divine Jealousy and The Voice of Reason: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Go Through The Alphabet Before Somebody Posts A My Little Pony Picture: ~Blast Hedgehog, if you are reading this, can I ask why the same page is in three different namespaces but seems to refer to two different pages? ("This page is for tropes related to the RP. For tropes not related to the RP go here." appears in all three, which makes no sense)
- Groupees: By ~jamesbuc, should we just cut that for being a stub in the wrong namespace?
- Jamie Lynn Spears: Stub work page; creator messaged.
- Princess Daisy: This page has seen a significant expansion; should we still cut it, or move it? (It's in the wrong namespace either way so it can't stay).
- The Walking Dead: By ~Phoenixion, this seems to be an instance of a common problem with Franchise/ pages - they are not supposed to be mere disambiguations.
@Princess Daisy: Cut it. She has her section in Characters.Super Mario Bros; no need for a stand alone page for any of the characters of the series, let alone one for one that's fairly minor in the series as a whole.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."There is no such thing as notability. If the page is properly written, formatted, etc, there's no reason not to have it. I'd say move it at this point.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThere's no reason to have a single character as a separate page either. As-is, it's just a duplicate and needlessly confuses things. It's not like Daisy has so many tropes she needs her own page; not to mention the fact it needs to be cut anyway for being in the wrong namespace.

Hop on over to this page and add them. There Is No Such Thing As Notability applies to whether a work can have a wiki page, or whether an example from a work counts. Says so right on the page: "All works are notable." It doesn't trump reasonable organization of subpages.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.The only reason I'm not comfortable with going ahead and cutlisting From Breakout To Scrappy is that I feel like it'll come across as stealth TRSing. While someone must have been asleep at the wheel for it to get launched, it's still not a YKTTW "crash" in the standard sense of this thread.
Couple of commentary first:
- From Breakout To Scrappy: This seems to be a violation of "no new complaining pages" so yeah cut. Also, for the record this thread is a general TRS-like topic for new pages in its usage.
- Go Through The Alphabet Before Somebody Posts A My Little Pony Picture: Explanation was not forthcoming, so I went and cutlisted it as a duplicate in the wrong namespace.
- This Index Is On Purpose: Any more cut support?
- Princess Daisy: People seem to agree with cutting that on the ground it duplicates the entry on Characters.Super Mario Bros (or rather, one of its subpages). Anyone for messaging the editor that it's over there now? And regardless, it's in the wrong namespace.
- Funny.Total Drama Equestria and NightmareFuel.Total Drama Equestria: These pages have some indexing troubles; for helping, ~Orange Ratchet, indexing something is done by adding it to an index page as a bullet point not by turning a page into an index.
I'm not good at turning something into an index, can you give me an example on HOW I can do that?
~Orange Ratchet, you aren't supposed to turn anything into an index. You are supposed to index something.
Check Fan Fic; that is an index page. The bullets are the indexed items.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI thought you WANTED me to put indexing on the pages! That's what you told me the first time.
All right, check the pages. Am I doing something right now?
Oh, you're supposed to put them in DIFFERENT pages? Okay, I did not know that. I thought you were referring to something else. Okay, I think I got it now.
I even did it for the Heartwarming page for Total Drama Equestria, so check that out! Hopefully, this time it's right!
The creator of Princess Daisy knows about the Characters.Super Mario Bros page so I don't think we need to message them about it.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.~Orange Hatchet: Aye, this time it's working.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAwesome! Thanks for the help!
@This Index Is On Purpose: It's just a duplicate stub. Cutlist that thing.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
@From Breakout To Scrappy: Motion to cut. The last thing we need is more scrappy articles. Especially since it's just going to be a page for people to complain about Ensemble Darkhorses they don't like.
And it doesn't even have a YMMV banner. WTF.
