OK, so Came Back Wrong becomes more likely with each resurrection. Any other ideas?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Shortens Serenity's life if she uses it too much, or revives too many at once.
One Strip! One Strip! The enemy is a soul-eater, so after you die your soul gets eaten?
That is viable and flexible, in that we can "scale" the difficulty to Sailor Moon/Serenity's current level of power/mastery over the Silver Crystal's power at a given point in the timeline.
... Huh?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. What? It's legitimate way of keeping someone from coming back to life. Make the latest enemy a soul-eating monstrosity.
Also, dare you to have someone refer to the senshi as 'Usagi's Harem.'
But seriously, it's always been my headcanon that all of the Solar System Sailor Soldiers (barring Chibiusa for those who get squicked by incest) are into Usagi herself if not girls in general.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. My take was the everyone is in various stages of denial (with Ami being the least, since in her denial rant she manages to tal herself down too 'I'm not not okay with it), Haruka being cool with it and reminding everyone of the time they were all trying to date her, and Tuxedo Kamen requesting clarification on whether he was officially part of the harem too, since he keeps feeling kinda left out...
- Haruka and Michiru are happy with each other, thank you very much.
- Ami and maybe Makoto lean into boys, but not exactly refuse Usagi if she ask.
- Venus is happy with anyone that likes her (and fulfil her standards, she's not that desperate, thank you very much).
- Rei is actually leaning more into girls, but she's still in denial about it.
- Hotaru... she's a kid for now.
- Tuxedo Mask actually had 3 girls pinning for him: Rei (the one her denial and love-dar can agree), Venus (they had... history (awkward body double bonding moment is awkward)), and Usagi (nuff said, but... age issues (not that this is not applicable on both girls before) (curse you age-of-consent-law)).

Actually, in the whole series, Mamoru is second only to Usagi in having GUYS after him for more than one episode.
Oh I know that. Poor Mamoru. At least he doesn't get genderbent in canon.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus....That was mean. Did Mamoru Chiba ever did anything wrong to you? Except blatant ephebophilia, that is.
Also, the way I saw it, Haruka is just love making innuendos for teasing (okay, trolling) Inner Senshis, and won't do more than that. I mean, sure, Michiru is seemingly reasonable and didn't mind much, but do we really know that if in between episodes, Haruka is actually sleeping with her in bed... or in couch? Or in apartment lobby?

On a different note, I've been contemplating the idea of the Sailor Soldiers having the ability to summon magical creatures of great power (a la Final Fantasy summons) as a Fantastic Nuke equivalent to throw at giant monsters that their "normal" magic can't seem to put a dent in. What would you suggest for each Sailor Soldier?
My take:
- Moon: A goddess-like angelic being with an appearance befitting a warrior-queen.
- Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter: A turtle, a tiger, a phoenix, and a dragon, respectively, to match them being canonically themed after The Four Gods.
- Saturn: A Grim Reaper-like humanoid.
- Neptune: I'm not sure... a whale-like creature?
- Uranus and Pluto: No idea at all.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. On a different note, it always kinda bugged me how Usagi and Mamoru decided that naming their daughter the exact same name as her mother was a good idea. Seriously, having two women with the name "Usagi Serenity Tsukino" is quote confusing — and no, the nickname "Chibiusa" doesn't really help that much, especially since it would be very weird to use once she becomes an adult. Does anyone know if there are fanfics out there where the author shares a similar grievance and decides to give her a different name, even if it's just a derivation (albeit sufficiently distinct) of Usagi's name (e.g. "Ko'usa"note or "Usami")?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Would it be ridiculous if I were to write a drabblemake rp account for Kousagi if she were born in Crystal Tokyo? While a second moon princess wasn't supposed to be born, Chibi Usa's Earth, Moon and minor sun powers proved themselves to be too much for her body and soul to handle, so Kousagi was born with Earth powers. Would it be ridiculous if she were to have powers based off one of the seasons? She also relates to flowers because she's an Ill Girl who ages normally in a world everyone's immortal.

After reading through the Mass Effect fanfic rec threads (don't ask) I have a bizarre urge to write a Star Trek/Sailor Moon crossover (and a general urge to write some kind of space opera fic/fan fic in general).
Premise: after the Sailor Stars season, Earth has the Eugenics Wars and WW3 (it was all Trump's fault) until the Warp Drive was invented and humans met Vulcans. Fast forwards to the TOS-era, and Earth is the weird kid in the Milky Way because it's the one Star System that appears to NOT have a Senshi of any sort, despite the legends of how Sailor Galaxia met her defeat there. Despite this, [[imgur.com/gallery/qSmHy humanity does just fine, thank you very much]]. The Cold War peace of the galaxy s broken with reports of mass-destructions of whole planetary cultures, caused by a 'comet' originating from outside the galaxy: Velber, the Umbral Star. It turns out a scout of Velber was what drove Galaxia nuts, and she went around the galaxy stealing star seeds in an attempt to 'hide' them from Velber (she was nuts, and thus the plan was ill-advised)...
...
Yeah, it kinda got away from me there...
I'm guessing via the inclusion of Velber that it's a Nasuverse crossover as well, right?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.
Only historically. It was the only threat big enough that I could think of.
Sailor Moon is in that weird fandom gray area. It's not like some series where you can literally find the year the fandom died by looking at the section on Fanfiction, and it certainly has a thriving community, but I feel like I missed something in the fandom by not getting into it a decade earlier. It seems like a lot of the interesting fanfics date back to the 1990s and early 2000s, but are spread across the web. It's hard finding "go-to" fics.
From what I gathered, however, it does help mitigate the fact that Sturgeon's Law hit Sailor Moon fanfics (among those of other contemporary anime/manga, like Ranma ½) pretty hard, ironically due to the massive size of the fanbase back then.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Back then, EVERY fic was a Ranma 1/2 fic, it just happened to have a little Sailor Moon on it...
Thank goodness those barbaric times are behind us.

For whatever reason, the Ranma fandom seems really quiet nowadays. It still exists, but it's rather dead for such an influential and huge fandom. Even Inuyasha is more vocal. Maybe it's the lack of any remakes or sequel anime.
Sorry for necroing but anyone have any fic recommendations? ^^ Preferably something with Ami/Makoto or Reinako?
I recently finished reading Crawlspace’s Fate series after seeing it on the fanfic recs page here and REALLY enjoyed it but I haven’t been able to find something else to pick up reading since and don’t really know how to look lol.
If you get resurrected too many times, you start coming a little less like yourself every time.
It's imperceptible at first, but the more it happens, the more it adds up.
