Sounds good. Relying on text is slightly different, so it doesn't illustrate this... trope, though probably the same if you consider the caption and in-picture text to be the same.

The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Hmmmmm...I'm good with either.
I like this as well. Order Of The Stick picture may fall into "somewhat illustrative of the trope", but JAFAAC requires that the picture be Just A Face, which that picture is not.
I'm rather of the opinion that the OOtS image is pullable bad, because JAFAAC requires the picture to be JAF, and that one is not Just a Face.

I like the Simba one, but 350px is too large for it.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I prefer the Simba one.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyWhat? No, unless I misunderstand something, that is incorrect. It could as well be Just A Building, Just A Shoe, Just A Landscape, and so on. But faces are common. The two examples of JAFAAC are not "just a face", and I think the one example of something that is not JAFAAC should be "just a face".
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That's reasonable, but I think there's more agreement than disagreement here, wordage aside (which I will admit is not the best). The point is that there is more going on than simply a picture of the Most Triumphant Example or the like.
I think we should add a picture to JAFAAC that doesn't have a face on it.
For example, there used to be a powerup trope that only showed a zoomed-in image of a Mario Mushroom. That's, basically, Just A Shroom And A Caption, and it was replaced for that reason. It's not exactly the same but it's related enough that I think this page should explain it.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!^ Like 1-Up or Law of 100?
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.{{1-up}} has been replaced. Law Of 100 is still pretty... JAFAACy...
We already have four pictures. We could add a fifth. *shrug*
For the record, the folderized sections here were originally part of another page that was merged onto this one.

Rhymes with "Protracted."The trope actually says:
"A Speech Balloon or other form of text-in-the-image won't save you here—if there's nothing in the visuals, it's JAFAAC."
I'm just pointing out this, although I still won't get why the Order of the Stick image is a JAFAAC.
I am not sure that is true. "Nothing in the visuals" is a problem, but it's a different problem.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The trope really said that.
I'm just trying to get my point accross.
I'll stop now. Changed my mind.

I've never liked that bulleted list at the bottom, but I really don't have a better idea there.
The suggestion is better than the current. "Relying on text" and "JAFAAC" are different things.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman^^ Yes I mean it shouldn't. That is wrong, not you are.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Well, I've JUST contradicted your reason why you said that the image must be replaced.
The page DOES say that it's the visuals that tells if one's JAFAAC or not.
Look at my previous post for the proof.
Unless someone's willing to edit the page, then your argument stating that it doesn't say that is moot.
I don't really want to offend people (just want to do justice), so...

Yes, the page says it. And it's wrong. "No info in visuals" and "JAFAAC" are two different problems. My whole point is: that is wrong. (I was mistaken that it's not mentioned in the text, though; it is mentioned there.)

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan."JAFAAC" means "image requires knowledge of a work to illustrate the trope", to be exact.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think you should edit your original post, Rodney.
I think that we need to exclude "the text carries all the weight, the visual adds nothing" from JAFAAC. It's Just A Face And A Caption after all - a "caption pulls all the weight" image is not Just A Face And A Caption - it does illustrate the trope without further context, but just with the text.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhich is itself a problem, but a different problem from JAFAAC. I think that's the main argument for the replacement.
Wait, I'm confused. :-|
That is exactly what I meant. Current bottom pic is misleading.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Not the one at the top; that is great. I mean at the bottom, in the "Not Actually JAFAAC" sub-section.
Current:
"The image relies too much on text" is a different complaint than "The image is JAFAAC".
The issue isn't mentioned anywhere else on the page.(It is mentioned, but shouldn't be, in an adjacent bullet.) It's a really good example of an exception to the former, but not the latter. On the other hand, there is a relevant problem: "Of course, an article about purely visual tropes (like faces, facial expressions, hairstyles, and such) is a different matter. It can be acceptable for certain character archetypes as well, depending on the picture itself."I suggest:
vvvv Reduced my suggestion to 250 pixels wide and made other adjustments. Did not change the OhCrap.Animated Film page image; I think it's a quality upgrade, but I am the wrong judge of that.
