Yea, if a show can be aired on American tv by slapping a few digital bikinis on and having everyone drink Frothy Mugs of Water , it should be good.
@Arromdee: Whether or not Koibana Onsen pedopanders aside, it's still more than cuttable on grounds of pornographic content. I stand by everything I have said.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenAs far as Ironwood goes, the 'underage' character is easily an adult by human standards, but isn't old enough by dragon standards to transform into a full dragon. He's about the equivalent of early 20's human in appearance and maturity. He just doesn't have all his dragon powers yet.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickOn FanficRecs.Portal, a fic has been pulled by Insanity Prelude to the discussion for being a kink meme fic. I haven't read it, but judging by the way the rec is written it looks like smut. It has a good "plot-to-porn ratio", but wouldn't work without the sex and/or masturbation scenes. Thoughts — should it be put back on the main page, or zapped completely?

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I am not sure if recapping fanfics that are nothing but porn is verboten. As far as I know, explicit sex with under-16 year old (looking) people or recommendations that are prurient are reasons to axe them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI wasn't totally clear on what's allowed for fic recs vs. what's allowed for pages, so I was just going by what we did for FanficRecs.Mass Effect.
What I meant by plot-to-porn ratio: it takes a few chapters before the NSFW stuff comes in, if I remember right (it's been a while since I read it), and there's a plot aside from the sex with the characters trying to get out of the facility. Now that I think about it, the escape angle could work without the sex- it's more of the character stuff that's tied into the smutty bits. I don't know if I'm making any sense here, it's one in the morning. Anyway, I mentioned it starting on the kink meme because it's safe to assume from that that it was at least partially intended to titillate. (It's hosted on fanfiction.net though, so not breaking the "don't link directly to kink memes" thing.)
I just checked now to see if it's been updated since where I left off, and it looks like the most recent chapters are focusing on the non-sexual stuff again. I might have jumped the gun a bit on this one... I'll back off.

Porn recs are off-limits. We said we wouldn't be a porn directory when it comes to works. Recommending them is no different. So, no porn recs, please.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerClearly, since porn recs are off limits, the 5P should go and read every rec just in case there's something questionable to their standards in it.
They already have gone through them, actually. Of course, they might have missed some. They did go and read them. So there you have it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerThey read thousands of recs on the off chance that they have porn?
I seriously doubt that they did.
I know they missed the Hetalia stuff at the very least. How the hell do you miss a title like World Financial Crisis Gangbang?
"Have porn"? If you mean explicit content, that's not porn. Porn is meant to be a fic mostly masturbatory, and you can tell that from the recommendation itself.
And yes, they did. They sent us hollers on which recommendations need to be removed. They did it right after they were instated. I saw to it personally.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerSo, then, what exactly is the guideline for Fan Fic Recs being porn, exactly?
I can't find that anywhere...where is it?
Concrete guidelines are hard to come by. The main Fanfic Recommendations page has something on it:
No Porn: If a work is nothing but sex or solely intended to titillate, don't add it.
Chibiusas Seventh Birthday is porn, and ugly paedocrap to boot. This entry I deleted from Axis Powers Hetalia is also against our rules:
No Regrets by Anonymous
- Recommended by chelonianmobile
- Character(s): Romano, Rome, Germania, Teutonic Knights (Prussia), Turkey, Spain, mentions of America, Canada, France, and others
- Synopsis: In response to a Kink Meme request: "Nation-tans see war as a game, and human death as losing playing pieces."
- Tags: Guro, torture, mentions of rape, cannibalism.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerIt's under General, about midway through the page.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I think that mostly people would flag recs they think are pornos and then they'd look. The Ps don't have to read every wolf of the zodiac story on the wiki.
Good, because if we did, we would've gone stark-raving mad by now...
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.@Nine The Puma: What point, precisely, are you trying to make here?

Sandbox.Pages Cut Under The Policy Change was recently cut. Panctice Squad Cutterback, the person who threw it on the cutlist, listed the reason as "We don't need a list of porn." A lot of the works that were listed were things that were cut before P5 was formed, some of which still need review. It seems to me like jumping the gun just a bit.

I thought he was suspended earlier for cut list abuse? Or was that someone else?
That's kind of worrying.
FWIW, that's the same person who cutlisted Hen while it was still flagged and pending decision. And it's Panctice Squad Cutterback, with a "c".

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation. No, he was never suspended, but someone said that's the kind of thing that would get him suspended.

I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!
From what I remember of Tenchi Muyo, Washu's more child-like form is never really played for sexualization. The scene in question is played for laughs, not pedophile pandering, and nothing explicit is shown. AFAIK the only fanservice Washu (who is canonically an adult) gets is when she's in her adult form.
Tenchi Muyo is a pretty mainstream entry in the previous generation of anime, to the point where it strikes me as pretty silly that anyone would find it objectionable enough to suggest cutting.
