I came across this trope by chance, and I was completely suprised by how few examples were listed. For such a common trope that's been around since December 2010, it's obviously not very healthy; it only has three examples, six wicks, and two inbounds. I don't think the title is a problem, but this trope would probably benefit from either just gathering some examples here or sending it back to YKTTW. Tropers just need to know it exists so that it can be listed in the many instances in which it appears. Thoughts?

I'm not really sure that this is a trope... it has to have plot significance otherwise it's just a thing that happens. We have Angrish for when someone is so angry that they become incoherent, Cloudcuckoolander for a person who spouts inane babble constantly, etc.

This...looks a lot like Gibberish of Love.

And there's one I didn't know about either. Yay, obscure tropes that aren't Entry Pimped and so get no love.

With only two inbounds, I vote cut the whole page. As mentioned, simply babbling isn't a trope, and the various causes for this trope are already covered by others.

...So can I go ahead and cutlist it?

No, leave it. It's supertrope. Cutting it will give us a Missing Supertrope.

It needs to be given a list of its subtropes and set to do indexing as well as serving as the supertrope page.

I hate when this happens. Perfectly valid tropes get lost in the voidness of the site because its YKTTW sponsor is so eager to release it that he forgets to wait for and add examples, and then never wicks the trope into other articles.

[up]Good point, I hadn't thought of that.
Angrish and Gibberish of Love have already been mentioned as subtropes; what about Gagging on Your Words, I "Uh" You, Too, Foreign-Language Tirade or Emotionally Tongue-Tied? Others?

Those all sound like subtropes to me. I suppose that I Need to Go Iron My Dog, could qualify as well, since it covers the "so desperate to leave that they spout a nonsense excuse." aspect. Buffy Speak also is related.

I believe we're done here. Does anyone see anything else to do?

Should it go on the Word Salad Index?
