Who would be a good match up against Mikoto Misaka?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I would have said Static was best, but I doubt he'd be brought back again so soon.
Her best shot now is Killua Zoldyck, I think. Asuna Yuuki works from a meta perspective but I doubt that will happen since most people don't understand that connection.
There's Denki Kaminari, but he's WAY too weak to stand any kind of chance against Mikoto. I definitely want her to win, but that would be one of the worst stomps in recent history.
As for Killua, I think he's her best match now because Akame could/should definitely fight someone else, and Killua Vs. Mikoto is kind of like an electric flavored Natsu vs. Ace or Gray Vs. Esdeath. The last time we even got an electric themed battle was Pikachu Vs. Blanka, so I think we're well overdue for one. Killua and Mikoto don't have a whole lot past electricity powers as a connection, but I guess you can say they are both young prodigies and both use mundane objects to deadly effect (Mikoto's arcade coins and Killua's yo-yo)
Other possibilities: list off an electric user and there you go. Boring, but there's not a whole ton to work with.

Zatch Bell!, perhaps? I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but that's a pretty good example of an electric protagonist.
It's been 3000 years…That might be a stomp in her favor.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’So I guess there are no banned characters in Death Battle huh?
Batman and possibly Deadpool seems like the only characters to be on the shelf due to their constant use and lack of new material.
Since the last time I posted, years ago, Death Battle has done several of the fights I'd have liked to see. So, here's the ones I'd still like:
- Aku vs. Shendu (the Demon Sorcerors) — WINNER: No idea. Probably Aku, being the greater evil, but Aku has been bested several times by humans with holy weapons, while Shendu has only ever been truly beaten by magic.
- (Ultimate) Kars vs. (Perfect) Cell (The True Ultimate Life Forms) — WINNER: If it's anything other than Cell squashing quickly, I think Kars wins. Kars could quickly learn the principles behind Ki manipulation, and given his shown feats, I wouldn't be surprised if he could master it. He'd need to in order to completely obliterate Cell. But, given Cell's need to prove he's better, I figure he'd want to see Kars learn Ki, bite off more than he could chew, and get killed for it.
- Jack Cayman vs. Travis Touchdown (Dueling Games) — WINNER: Travis. Jack is by far the more seasoned fighter in terms of actual experience, but Travis has bested seasoned fighters before, has Dark Side Modes and Glastonbury, and unless Jack has shown more durability in Anarchy Reigns, which I own but haven't played, Travis has him beat there.
- Korra vs Sypha Belnades (The Elemental Warriors) — WINNER: Korra, but mostly if she uses the Avatar State (for more power, not for the experience of prior avatars). Sypha's use of elemental magic, especially ice magic, is straight up brutal.
- Edward Elric vs. Harry Potter (battle for the Philosopher's Stone)
- Lara Croft vs Carmen Sandiego
I'd also like to see opponents for Sailor Moon, Morrigan from Darkstalkers, Yuna, and Storm. Possibly some combination of Sailor Moon, Morrigan, or Bayonetta might be a match.

The sad, REAL American dichotomy
That depends on if it's Zatch without Kiyomaro (which is possible if he's back in his home world) or Zatch with him.
There's also the matter of the Golden Book. Zatch also has the power of his cloak, which can act to defend him and help him fly (though he only discovers that ability in the final arc).
And you know....Baou Zakeruga in all it's different shapes....and the fact that it's a spell that feeds off despair and anger and can devour the user and anything else if not controlled properly...I think. I know it can go crazy and eat everything, but I'm not totally sure about how it does it. I'd have to look that up.

One Strip! One Strip!Batman and possibly Deadpool seems like the only characters to be on the shelf due to their constant use and lack of new material.
Uh, Batman constantly has new material. That's how it goes in the Marvel and DC industries, much to Death Battle's chagrin.
In general, DB likes to use characters who've completed their stories because they don't like it when their analysis is invalidated by the release of new material (the Death Battle curse). They're willing to fudge it for characters in works that don't seem likely to end any time soon, though in those cases, they still try to shy away from characters that seem likely to get an upgrade in the foreseeable future.
IIRC Ben and Chad used RWBY as an example. Weiss or Yang, at the time they put them in the show, seemed like pretty solid characters that might pick up a feat or two here or there in the future, but didn't seem like they had a lot of substantial change or growth for their particular fighting styles to undergo. By contrast, they wouldn't touch Ruby Rose with a ten-foot-pole because her show was flashing a giant neon sign saying "MASSIVE CHARACTER UPGRADES BEFORE SERIES ENDS".
Note that this is only the case for Death Battle proper. DBX is pure flash, no substance, and can thus use whoever the f*ck it wants, whenever the f*ck it wants.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.It would be easier to list the DB combatants that aren’t constantly getting new material.
I mean that's why we have the curse.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?May I ask what is the thematic link between these two?
For Yuna maybe Lucy from Fairy Tail.
Storm, I'm not sure. Maybe Crystal from the Inhumans as both are the main elementals of their re but that just feels like too much flame bait given the X-Men-Inhumans rivalry.
Both are capable of world destruction against sentinent Planets (Or in the case of Morrigan, a Sentinent Star with Pyron), one being Light themed, the other dark themed.
Watch SymphogearArguably, that's more of a reason for the sentient planets in question to fight each other than it is for Morrigan and Sailor Moon to fight. If their only connection is fighting similar enemies, then that's actually the similar enemies that are connected.
Like. Cell menaced Android 18, and Moonstone is Captain Marvel's archnemesis. But that doesn't really make Cell v. Moonstone into a thematically strong match-up.

Crimson Chin and Cleft win the poll.
Just like last time, CD Bs are now going along with the DB Xs, so it's Vegeta vs. Thor, and the Twitter poll also counts along with the google forms poll to decide who wins the DBX.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?Yeah, that's not really a strong connection or theme.
Edit: "Did you just change the verdict so that Butch would see Danny win?" Of course that's a question.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. Not saying that the fight looks bad, far from it, but it reminds me of one of those mediocre phone game ads.
A few pages back, I suggested Princess Garnet a.k.a. Dagger. Both of them specialize in Summoning with a dash of White Magic, they're both iconic summoners for the series, and were in back-to-back entries.
We could also add Rydia and make this a Battle Royal.
It's a minor detail but it really strikes me as odd that Wonder Woman would be invoking Heracles of all people in that preview given that a) he tends to be portrayed as one of Wonder Woman's rogues and b) his not too.... politically correct history with the Amazons.
Garnet, Lydia and Lucy are all good choices for an opponent for Yuna.
Lucy would have been the best one back when they did composites (so that Yuna would have both her summons and her Dress Spheres due to the former's Star Dresses), but since that ship has sailed, I say go with Rydia, since she can use Black Magic.
Also, why doesn't Diana have her armoured skirt? She doesn't work with pants. I stand by this opinion.
One Strip! One Strip!Animation stuff almost certainly. When given the option between pants and a skirt, I imagine the former is far easier to work with and less of a headache to review shots of.
No Flow in CGI, indeed.
Is this another part of pony friendship? Telling each other what you learned all the time?I was reminded how The New 52 originally advertised her wearing pants before shifting back to the skirt/unitard.
Shame it was a decent design.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."When did she do that? I just watched the preview and I think I missed that.
Yeah even in the continuity where Hercules is Diana's father he's still one of her arc-enemies. His one face turn was even fake.
Bleye knows Sabers.
