I'm fairly certain they go with the up to date War Machine suit, nothing that deviates from it I bet. They are more likely gonna give Genos his up to date stuff too.

That War Machine armor was also a mini-mech on tank treads & Rhodey had no problem with collateral damage like blowing up an elementary school to get his target.

Here's a fun match up, Jack Spicer (Xiaolin Showdown) vs either Toyman (DC) or Syndrome (The Incredibles).

My mistake but I would say that still isn't accurate. Recently I read a Mary Jane comic where she fought off the entire Sinister Six and another where Silver Sable body slammed Blue Marvel. The former is a normal human the latter is a Superman Expy.

The thing is that in addition to his gadgets, Jack Spicer should have access to certain Shen Gong Wu.

Some Shen Gong Wu are pretty broken, Jack's favorite Shen Gong Wu's are the Changing Chopstick, shrinking him to the size of a grain of rice, The Monkey Staff, basically giving him all the things a monkey has and do (Even features), Reversing Mirror and a slew of others as well. That's not even mentioning that he too is a mechanical genius and has built mechs and robots and other inventions that have won him battles before.

In one bad time line, he took over the world and imprisoned many of his idols like Chase Young, Hannibal Roy Bean and Wuya. And surprisingly, he can take hits he normally shouldn't survive (Cartoon logic I guess).

I'd say Jack stands a good chance, and even if Toyman's robots were built to fight Superman, there's not guarantee to prove they were built to last, given that judging the durability based on Superman doesn't mean much, given that it's, you know, Superman.

• "If you didn't wanna use anything out of the ordinary for Leo, why'd you give him the Odachi from Rise?"^Answer Figuring out what to give Leo without choosing was difficult. We typically try to get the primary source for each character. Leo doesn't really have that. He started as a comic character, but he's nothing like what the character has become in the 80's cartoon. It's difficult to lock down a single version, so we kinda composited, but not so much that he became something that isn't recognizable. But we can't remove everything like Healing Hands. If we removed all specific things from each iteration, he'd just be a turtle with 2 swords. So we kinda just gave him everything we reasonably could, but not anything that could potentially give him the win because of one specific thing, like dragons. Or to think of it another way, "We gave Leonardo stuff that was standard equipment for his individual iterations. He's always using the Odachi in Rise, but he's not going dragon all the time in 2003" -Djangor, researcher
• "This battle was a lot more stylized, what were the animation inspirations?"^Answer The video games and the 80's/90's show. Especially the arcade games. The sprites already leaned into that, so we just went all the way to that retro feel.
• "Why didn't you give Jason the Zeo Gold Ranger stuff?"^Answer We wanted to focus on the Red Ranger stuff, because that was the argument. Zeo Gold Ranger stuff could technically be applied because all of them are comparable, but not the metallic armor because that was just for Rocky.
• "You said Leo could move as fast as lightning, but he was just reacting to the hands."^Answer We didn't say that. We said he could react to someone shooting lightning. That's what the calculation meant.
• 'Why wasn't this Jason vs. Raph? Doesn't that make more sense?"^Answer Why, cause they're both the red ones? Leo and Jason are the leaders of the team.
• "Why didn't you say the teleportation and blade gun is better than Leo's Odachi? You gotta make these episodes bigger and make more money."^Answer We really don't have the budget for that. We wanna try a balance between deep diving and just listing the interesting parts. We also try to make the teleportation comparison visibly shown in the fight that Leo has to actually do a cut, where Jason can just teleport at will. "Also not to be salty, but our merch doesn't sell as well." -Sam
• "How come Leo's stealth wasn't a factor?"^Answer If we change the rules to "Can Leo assassinate Jason?" Then yes, Leo wins. But that stuff is very situational. In Leo's defense, we did give him the speed advantage, so he COULD blitz Jason before he morphs, but Leo wouldn't know that he's capable of morphing. We try to get the most general case. for Death Battle.
• "Why do you keep shitting on Mikey? He has the best potential."^Answer Yeah, but he doesn't take advantage of that potential.
• "Will you have a Power Ranger that isn't from Mighty Morphin?"^Answer If we ever do another ranger in the future, it'd probably be best if we use a different era.
• "BRING BACK THE "FIGHT"!"^Answer When you're writing a fight, it limits the way you write the script when you have to put in the "FIGHT" into it. It's more natural to have it when you don't have to force it in.
• "What should we expect from Genos vs. War Machine?"^Answer We know the most requested for Genos is Android 17, but that's HORRIBLY mismatched. Android 17 would win EASILY. War Machine is more of a debate. It's gonna be a "unique" episode.
• "We want Saitama!"^Answer Yeah we know. He's tricky to figure out to bring into Death Battle. We know you want Saitama vs. Goku. We heard.

Unsurprisingly, the Raisin Bran Sun wins again. They're actually considering doing a real analysis on cereal mascots.

I thought Genos vs 17 was a good match before 17's return to the series, after which I took it back.

Stealth was always gonna be Leo's trump card and would have definitely won with it, but it's just that Jason was that much stronger and that much more tougher that once a stealth attack is used up, it's not gonna work again.

I quit Fairy Tail 40 volumes in, before Lucy really did much but I understand she gets the ability to fuse with her summons at some point

I don't see why you'd take it back. 17 already would have ROFLstomped Genos before Super boosted him up to rivalling the Super Saiyan Gods, so I'm not sure what difference it really makes.

From the moment 17 was introduced he was powerful enough to stomp Genos. Genos got his ass kicked by a guy whose power at best was around Saiyen saga Vegeta to Namek Freeza. 17 began as much stronger then either.

Not so much fuse. She basically gets an ability called Star Dress that let her use the powers of her spirits herself in addition to summoning them.

So think of it as the Job System from various Final Fantasy games, specifically Final Fantasy V and the Dresspheres from Final Fantasy X-2, only specifically tailored to her summons.

Also, she recently learned how to combine two Star Dresses as well, but we've only seen the one so far, and she can only maintain it for a short period of time.

I don’t know much about the Star dress but most of her summons kinda suck ass as far as shonen battle prowess is concerned
