Y'know, a lot of people criticized Suicide Squad (2016) for having the team go up against this huge supernatural threat way above their Super Weight.
And yet, the very first appearance of Task Force X in the comics had them going up against Brimstone, a fire elemental created by Darkseid. I haven't read a lot of Suicide Squad comics, but having Steppenwolf be their opponent probably would've been closer to the source material then you might think.
Of course, it helps that Enchantress was actually working on their side during the fight.

It's even more ridiculous than that. The very first story to feature the original Suicide Squad? They fought a giant dinosaur that set everything around it on fire.
The Silver Age was weird.
I don't expect Batman himself to show up in any of the upcoming movies except his own....unless they just flat out abandon any pretext of still trying to maintain canon with the earlier movies and have the characters interact with Battinson as though the other stuff never happened.
The Batman is also apparently going to take place in the '90s, while the other movies...aren't.
Actually, have we gotten an actual confirmation about that from Matt Reeves or anyone legit?
Because I'm still thinking that's hearsay..
No. Reeves has never said when it's taking place. People jumped on the idea that it'll be a 90s period piece because they assumed this would have to be set well before BVS to justify the younger actor playing Batman, but nobody has said that in any official capacity. The most recent statement about its relation to BVS was:

Soooo, like the recent Marvel cartoons basically.
Just for fun, someone did one of those “scripts written by bots” with Batman.

I guess we’re in a lull till Joker in October, right?
…Man, the Snyder Cut is much weirder than I thought.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo."so it's still a new project. And DC is producing it, therefore it's a DC movie"
That is being pedantic and missing the point, in that it dosent seen DC is going to make more dark movies in the future because the backlash of Bv S for being edgy, joker being a exception because it was during the whole thing.
"The main difference is that the characters weren't introduced beforehand (Hawkeye and Black Widow) weren't as important or iconic as the Flash or Aquaman. "
And I will said that end hurting hawkeye and widow because they never really got proper movies, in more ergogious with Widow because she only get a movie now that she is dead.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"@Beatman 1 Maybe it's obvious to others, and I'm not sounding like a killjoy, but I'm starting to suspect Keaton is joking when he says an AI wrote it.
While it's the epitome of So Bad, It's Good and very trippy, the writer seems to understand context in a way I wouldn't expect from an AI. For example, the part where The Joker gives Batman a coupon for new parents (but it's expired). It's trippy and Crosses the Line Twice, but it actually implies an understanding of both Batman and The Joker I wouldn't expect from an AI.
An AI-written script would tend to resemble a rather odd dream or something written with Mad Libs. This resembles something a troll or a hyperactive child would write. Sunspring, for example.
Or maybe A.I.s are getting better than I thought.

"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"99% of those “I made a bot read X and write a script” tweets are fake.
A real one is Sunspring, and in that one the AI couldn’t even distinguish names.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Grain of salt, but the guy who first revealed Pattinson was in the running for Batman claims Pierce Brosnan is in the running to play Alfred.
Dang it, now I want it...
I was going to say he's too young before realizing the guy is in his sixties now… It's almost weird to think about.
Yeah, I know, people age, big news.

Also kinda fitting when you consider that Alfred is a former member of MI-6 in some continuities.
"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillHe was also in Super, GOTG Vol 2, and Brightburn, so he's definitely a Gunn staple. Weird that he's King Shark, though since King Shark isn't really known for saying much other than "I'm a shark!"
Steppenwolf was originally planned for Suicide Squad. And also, according to the same link, due to the rewrites for Justice League, Steppenwolf was replaced by Enchantress's brother, Incubus.
