¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"I actually forgot about Look A Like from the Sonic OVA - "on this planet, drinking mah coffee, I notice different things look a like." That song is so trippy it's delightful.
So is that what genre this is? The Sonic Wiki wasn't helping me figure that out and I'm too lazy to figure out which music genres are which. My best guess was jazz/R&B.
And now I have to look up Tabitha Fair and Fertile Ground.

New cartoon!
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Curious about the extended cast and aesthetics they're going for. Modern Sonic has a lot of characters to pull from, but Sega seems keen on utilizing Mania as its own sub-brand which might suggest a continuing of what was seen in Adventures cartoons.
Also, I find it odd this has been announced and yet they still have not officially said that Sonic Boom is done. I'm assuming as much given the lack of any production information, but still, strange.

Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Not as strange as Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Satam airing at the exact same time.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.I hope it has better aesthetics than Boom. And I want more of an adventure show like avatar or wakfu.
So... Is Boom getting cancelled?
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...If they're working on a new cartoon (so soon after the fact, at that), it's not unlikely.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Can't say I'm surprised that Boom's most likely over, but I'm still disappointed; I really liked it. Hopefully the new show will at least still use the game cast, and won't air on Cartoon Network.
I could get behind a more action-adventure oriented series. I still think that the OVA, despite all the liberties it took, captured the spirit of the games better than any other Sonic adaptation, so I'd love to see something like that again.
I find it baffling how the OVA didn't get picked up for a full series, yet Sonic Underground of all things did...
Welp false alarm, it turn out to be fake
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"awwww :[
Aw, man.
This generation of fans needs a better-written Sonic X or Adventures.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Fake, there's no reason for that to exist yet.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.RE: New Sonic cartoon is coming:
All I can say is that they better not skimp out any established characters who aren't Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, or Eggman. I won't argue that Sonic Boom doesn't have its fans, but I'm kind of dissapointed how we only ever got Metal Sonic, Shadow, and Vector (who's got the best episode IMO) in that show.
RE: New Sonic cartoon ISN'T coming:
Well. Between this revelation and Ian Flynn being blocked from using the post-reboot Archie characters, what else can I say but...
EDIT: A few hours later...
"Wait a minute. Where did you even hear about this? Like, do you have a source? Because that Instagram picture is still there..."
...is what I would say if I wasn't led to this tweet from Sonic PR guy Aaron Webber.
We're really happy with how great Mania Adventures was, and we hope that if you enjoyed it too, you'll keep sharing your comments so we can pass them on to our teams! :)
Well. I guess that's that. Phooey.

When they do inevitably make a new cartoon in 3-10 years... Please, no more World of Funny Animals. I want a Sonic the Animation-style cartoon for once.
You had Sonic X and the humans ruined that show.
I want humans to have a minimal role in Sonic, aside from GUN and Eggman(s).
Humans have been phasing out of the series, mang.
What does it even matter?

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Why can't we havd anthros and humans coexist?
It's not that hard
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Eggman is a human.
This song needs more love.I do want humans to be a part of the setting, but I don't want a Chris Thorndyke - even if they're good. The whole point of the series is the colourful superhuman animal people, and throwing in a regular human as a part of the core team is just missing the point.
Exceptions are if the human to not human aspects are plot relevant, such as the upcoming movie I'm cautiously excited for.
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniI'd rather have humans than the generic anthros we got in Sonic Forces.
A world populated entirely by anthros works for the shows and comics because they're better developed over there and have a wider variety of designs, whereas the anthros in Forces looked unfinished and were completely forgettable.
Side-note, I had no idea that Sonic the Animation even existed. It's a little too Animaniacs-esque for Sonic, in my opinion, but I'd be fine with a full series like that.
They were literally made out of the character creator assets.
Animaniacs...not really.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I feel like both the writers and the fans make way too much out of the idea of having humans and animal people in the same space. The comics all made up elaborate and occasionally extensive explanations for it, Sonic X snarled itself with a weird "humans are from an alternate dimension" bit that didn't really explain Eggman's presence, the games either only show humans minus the protagonists (like Unleashed or the Adventure games) or only show anthros minus Eggman (like Forces) - just raising more questions... it turns a molehill into a mountain.
It's a video game universe. Just have them all walking down the street together. Say it happens to be a universe where humans and animal people live side by side. Setting established, moving on.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Thirding Fly in the Freedom. An underrated bop if there ever was one.
Also woot pagetopper!
