Hmm...I wonder why people don't like the option to move the complaining tropes to their own namespace?
It doesn't fix the complaining.
Who watches the watchmen?Complaint pages are already in a dedicated namespace separate from the wiki's main focus, even if that namespace has a larger portfolio than that. I can't see how either side of the "should we have complaint pages?" question would be satisfied by moving those pages to yet another namespace.

Who watches the watchmen?I agree with the headline thing
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoSeeing how the "Clean up the troubled pages and have a curator look after them" is already in effect.... It basically means find a few more curators and stricter standards?
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Pretty much. Let the curators know we need more pages watched, take on some new folks, and ask them to do a better job of cleaning up the pages that have problems.

Who watches the watchmen? We're going to need well-defined standards to curate by.
Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toQuick question, to be counted as curateing a page, do you need it on your watch list?

Yep. If you're going to curate anything, you definitely want it on your watchlist.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Actually, I just use the recent edits filter, like so.
About the Crowner: If it's still going, may I suggest something?
We have been talking about a new system for moderating Troper Tales: Have people sign examples. If we put a similar system in place (I think there already is one, but I think it might be less tightly enforced) for Darth Wiki, could that help?
I mean, if simple curation will work, then fine, but I want to see what others think about this.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI actually suggested that for DMOS in the Troper Tales redesign thread, but it went no where. It would probably not work for Wall Banger or So Bad It's Horrible, as they are more of just negative tropes, where DMOS is a page based on signed entries.
I do think that DMOS could work with the same sort of redesign as Troper Tales. But not Wall Banger unless we want to do the same thing for the Moments Pages (which also seems cumbersome) and definitely not SBIH which is specifically supposed to be an effectively unanimous opinion (that is, if anyone comes by saying they like it, it stops qualifying). Using signed entries for SBIH does exactly what we don't want: basing it on personal opinion
Calling crowner in favour of clean up.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickNecro'ing because I have a question:
Although volatile complaining is to be expected given the nature of these pages, is it acceptable to nuke badly written entries? For example:

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerWhich page is that on? Depending on the answer to that, the answer to your question will vary from "Sure, nuke away" through "Don't cut it completely, but you can certainly edit it to turn down the shouting and modify the RAEG" to "No, there's not really much you can do."
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Oh, sorry I forgot. It's a subpage of DarthWiki.Dethroning Moment Of Suck. If it were any other page, I would nuke away, but this one, not so sure.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerDethroningMoment.Naruto, per the Google search.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOh, look at what won, how surprising. Wall Banger and So Bad Its Horrible are already curated, well maybe not all of their sub pages but a good deal are already. If anything was to go it would be dethroning moment, as its basically "personal wallbanger" a redundancy. I'm against "sign here" pages on principle anyway. Darth Wiki is still a wiki, not a forum, if you want to state a personal opinion go to the forums. Dethroning Moment is just one person's most hated wallbanger so why have an entire page dedicated to it, it is one less thing to curate.
That or change the premise entirely? We could make it a just for fun parody page, like Uncyclopedia and list every single event on Moment Of Awesome, only to declare each and every moment to suck. The page already had shades of that before people started considering Serious Business and ended up changing it to its current state.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackI do think that D Mo S is redundant.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I think you have a point. At least Wallbanger has standards, but DMOS has need of fixing, it's an utter mess. I'd bring it to TRS, but I really have no idea how to fix it.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI think this went trough TRS already, and the current form was the best we got.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman<Mod Post>
Lu: given that the rules for DMOS pages clearly say "One moment per work per troper" and "Moments only, no "just everything he said, " "The entire show," or "This entire season," entries." go ahead and cut it.
It's not following the rules of the page. Leave an edit reason like <Violates the rules of the page. "Everything about this character and this story arc" is not "one moment".> If someone tries to give you trouble over it, refer them to me or to this post.
