Using TV Tropes as a platform to enlist people in causes is not allowed. Doing so in support of anti-science propaganda gets you instantly and permanently banned.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Worrying about government encroachment is anti-science apparently.
Edit: I always feel that you shouldn’t think about Christmas until after Remembrance Day, since Thanksgiving comes early in Canada.

It's over Anakin! I have the high ground!Christianity is about caring for others. They way you do that is by not turning yourself into a walking plaguebearer, i.e just take the vaccine and stop feeding a persecution complex. It's pretty cut-and-dry.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Off topic. That stuff can be complained about elsewhere. No politics please.
Anyway, who wants to talk about a favorite Bible story? Or something where knowing the context would be interesting.
I do have a favorite verse, Daniel 6 25-27, which was a proclamation after Daniel was spared in the Lions Den. It's also similar to 4 34-36.

It's over Anakin! I have the high ground!I love the entire part in 1 Kings where Elijah has a freakout and runs off into the wilderness to go die under a tree. Because he's tired and terrified and is saying "Enough, I can't do this anymore, just let me die!"
And he's told "Eat some food. Have a drink. Sleep. It's okay. You're okay."
That story (and, if you ask me, God Himself) helped pull me out of a really bad place in my head, and to this day it reminds me: It's okay to rest if you're tired. That's always okay.

The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun. The story of Elijah is so powerful. It looks like they're making a movie about it, and now I'm really excited for it.
I also love the story of Paul in the book of Acts. It proves that even "bad" people can change, and it reminds me that no matter how much I mess up, God will never give up on me.
I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :DMy favorite Bible story—not counting the story of Jesus—is the part where the people of Israel start complaining about manna being all they get to eat day after day. It's a wonderfully Surprisingly Realistic Outcome—yes, it's literally divine food, and yes, it's delivered by the Lord, but every day? A little soup now and then wouldn't be so bad, would it?
Too bad they couldn't have asked politely.
(I got baptized today!)
One of my favorite stories is of the two men who met Jesus on the road to Emmaus and didn't recognize him until after they invited him to dinner.
Similarly, my favorite verse is Hebrews 13:2, "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
Congratulations!

oh hey how are you doing?I'm glad it exists too. It's nice to have somewhere where I know I can find people who share my faith. And everyone in here is pretty damn chill, which is nice too.
The last thing you hear before an unstoppable juggernaut bisects you with a minigun. What are some of your favorite Awesome Moments in the Bible? One that I was just thinking about today is when Jesus saves that woman from being stoned to death in John 8. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" is such a powerful quote, and it reinforces him as a Badass Pacifist.
I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :DWhere God, through Moses, parted the Red Sea.

I have to agree with Puma's post there. Especially the ending. "Where are your accusers? Didn't even one of them condemn you?" "No, Lord." "Neither do I. Go and sin no more."
It's been 3000 years…
Unfortunately, we can't change the past. And yes, it's like a lot of things, resulting from an ugly time in American history. But we have involved since then. We've gotten better and we've moved on from that. We don't have to think about that. Just enjoy the family, the turkey, the togetherness. I think just trying on think about that sordid past will just make one unnecessarily miserable. And for a long time, we didn't even think about that. We just thought about the good Thanksgiving brings. And honestly, we need more of that
