Ooh, good one.
Now, what would be a good term for a general term for magical tools that assist a mage in using magic like Magic Wand or Magic Staff?
I'd say "Conduit" works, or we could go with the cliches and call them all "Wands"
A"Talisman", if you want to extend it to objects beyond our favorite wooden rods, could work too.
Are Franziska Handschin and Jan Handschin good names, or do they sound bad?
Also, South German maiden name ideas for Franziska?
Also also, maiden name ideas for Josephine Gesse, who's a lower-class American of unclear but possibly British descent?
They were both born sometime in 1898-9 or the early 1900s (Franziska had a son in 1918 and died in 1918, and Josephine had a son in 1922 and died in 1936 or 1937).

~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)British surnames is a huge range, I imagine that it also would be in other countries. If you just want 'any surname' then maybe search for a football (soccer) team squad from the appropriate area/year.
Wikipedia has extensive team lists for given years. (Sorry, did try to drop an example URL in, but not sure how to format the % it brings over)

I'm thinking more in the terms "will it sound good with the first name?" because i don't know how do they sound to a native english-speaker (or other languages), and also because i don't understand those pronouncation instruction scribbles so i'm not 100% sure how'd it sound to me either.
Also that link doesn't work.
~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)I looked into Behindthename.com and made a list of the surnames that appear in english and at least two other languages (for ambiguity).
Which of these would be a good surname for Josephine, who's a lower-class American woman in New York born somewhere in 1890s or very early 1900s?

~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)What would a Dub Name Change for Yuna Kanazawa, Anna Miyashita, and Miyu Ozu (Kanazwa Yuna, Miyashita Anna, and Ozu Miyu in Japanese name ordering respectively), female characters from In-Universe anime? It should imply Americanization of a Japanese name, i.e. Tsukino Usagi to Serena, as well easier to match the lip flaps for dubbing.
Jane Sanders, Anne Michaels, and Michelle Jones I presume.
For "Miyashita Anna" I might suggest "Michelle Archer".
Otherwise, you might have some success trawling through https://surnames.behindthename.com/ and https://www.behindthename.com, looking for similar sounds.
My Games & WritingOpinions on Josephine's surname?
~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)Josephine Winter sounds most fitting for me.
Regarding the amerization of fictional anime thing. I feel like existing "western" names could be retained. So I would go with Anna Michaelson, as an alternative suggestions(, kinda)

Cross-posting from the Writer's Block thread: What could be a good final title for my story about four warriors being chosen by higher beings to save the galaxy from an alien war because they represent the key principles of space civilization? The current name is Earth Warriors, and yes, it sounds generic and somewhat anime. The main one that it's in my mind is The Four Principles, and if it's split between novels when published officially, I may use "The Earth Warriors" as a subtitle if it works.
Do you other suggestions though?
"Cornerstones of Cosmos"
That's...not too bad actually. A bit weird on the tongue though. But hey, I like it enough to make it a subtitle for another story related to my book's universe
Maybe go for something that doesn't involve big words too if you like? The novel explores lots of themes but also maintains that Space Opera and anime flair around it that people can enjoy.

It can work too.

What impression does Sunnystorm give as a Warrior Cats name?

~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)Does it fit their personality?
I meant "what do you think when you hear it?" or "what do you think the character is like on the basis of the name?"
It comes more from appearance◊ and formidability in battle than his personality.
~ * Bleh * ~ (Looking for a russian-speaker to consult about names and words for a thing)I'd say someone on the Hot-Blooded side based on the name alone and that kind of look.
My impression of the name "Sunnystorm" is a Genki Girl Cute Bruiser with lightning fast martial arts. It could work for guys, though that could still imply an energetic personality and some emphasis on Speed.

What would you say would be like the equivalent of The Alliance for a myriad of Witch Covens (Covens being used as a term for organizations of Witches)
