Perhaps Magolor and the Lor Starcutter can be part of a separate Magolor page? After all, the Lor Starcutter is his ship.

Magolor is also the sole playable character in the Magolor Epilogue, which is exclusive to Deluxe.

I have no idea which grouping makes sense, but since the warning's apparently been on the page for years, I wonder if nobody would care however the split goes.

I'd separate them out by the Holds.

Characters.Pokemon Generation V Minccino To Genesect is now giving the warning.

Warning's gone after I removed one IUEO violation.

That doesn't mean it won't come back later on, so let's figure out how to split. Should we compile the entire list (including the other half) and split the full list into three pages?

If you split roughly evenly along the Pokedex, you would get:

Characters.Elden Ring Enemies And Bosses: Split into enemies and bosses even though internally it's split by area?

Also got less than 9500 tropes to check if they go on Overdosed Tropes. Which has 1900+ tropes listed, counting the commented-out ones too. Should the page be split somehow?

Overdosed Tropes isn't triggering the warning, but the page is over 400 KB and doesn't have a lot of extraneous elements outside the area that "counts" so if it gets too many more entries it could become a problem. If that happens, though, the likely solution would be to hike the threshold for inclusion.

I think the new threshold should be 10,000. That should be a large enough jump to ensure those pages are impressive again while still having a long list of well-known tropes (232 tropes). But I'd do that when it actually triggers the warning.

Pretty confident it's over 2000 at this point. We've been locating and adding a couple pages every day. If it were to be made 10k+, I would make the 7.5k-10k section the commented-out bit like the current 2k-2.5k section is. The "waiting in the wings" portion, basically.

Would like plans to keep the things between the new and old threshold somewhere, because I like seeing numbers go up, and historical and tracking reasons, but if enough people want to cut that bit out completely, ah well.

Was thinking that both types of Overdosed, Trope Overdosed / Trope Kilowicked and Overdosed Tropes pages could parallel each other in naming and ranges, but they are based on different concepts.

02-2023 has 1000+, 03-2023 has 222.

If you keep the thresholds the same, there are way more Overdosed Tropes than Trope Overdosed works. There are only 17 pages in the top two folders of Trope Overdosed, and those are the pages with 2000 fewer references than the new proposed minimum for Overdosed Tropes.

I believe right now, 2500 is the threshold for OT while 2000 is the threshold for TO, and TO is nowhere near the point of triggering the warning. I don't think we need to hike the OT threshold all the way up to 10k, though on the other hand there are less than a third as many trope pages as work pages. A part of me wants to see how the TRS megaproject thread resolves, and if there's a certain number of references that ends up triggering restrictions on new threads, that's the maximum threshold I'd support, but that thread seems to have stalled pending hard data on what that threshold should be.

I wonder if some Overdosed Tropes are just due to needing clean-up or more subtropes.

I know that Added Alliterative Appeal has / had issues with people using it for Alliterative Name.

Split off A? From mobile scrollbar it looks to be about 1/7 of this page that has 12 letters of the alphabet?

The more obvious thing to do would be to a) move the M's to the N-Z page or b) re-split the whole list into three parts. The N-Z page is over 400 KB so I'd favor the latter.

- Sounds good. My only skin in this project is as it relates to site stability and Overdosed Tropes, which is holding 1960 or so, with about 6500 left to check.

EDIT: I'd say it's closer to 1970 now, whenever this is. 6350 left or so.

From looking at the Wiki Word source with my scroll bar, that seems to be about more than a third of the page, so it should work, unless the issue has been around for longer than I thought.

The Trope Epitaph issue re: Renamed tropes has been resolved. The subpage is now split into two pages.
