I suppose tactically, the good news is that we didn't see anybody but V getting level-drained.
The bad news is that V is their sole remaining primary spellcaster, and probably just lost a bunch of spell levels.

Well, not the only spellcaster anymore now that Durkon's replacement has arrived. In fact, V's draining might be an excuse to have her show her chops.
