• Epileptic Trees: There's a joke theory in the Dream SMP fandom that the events of the Morph Mod video resulted in Fundy's conception, since his parents are canonically Wilbur and a salmon named Sally and Wilbur spent a chunk of that video looking to mate in fish form.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In the "Rising Void" video, Tommy jokingly says he hopes Phil's happy marriage becomes a sad marriage. This came days before the news that Phil's wife, Kristin, had her visa rejected on a technicality and thus had to go back to America for a few months while she got it sorted out (though thankfully, she was able to return).
  • The "Morph Mod" video has a Running Gag or Charlie and/or Wilbur serving "the queen" while they're bees, occasionally remarking "the queen is dead" if whoever they perceive to be "queen" dies for whatever reason. The death of Queen Elizabeth II made this age poorly.
• Just Here for Godzilla: A good chunk of fans watch certain episodes based on which guests appear in them, as evident by the most viewed episode in the series being the "Morph Mod" video, which was the first appearance of both Slimecicle and Jschlatt.
• Narm Charm: The funeral of Fuckworld in the RLCraft video. Despite how silly of a name "Fuckworld" is (and how the other dog is just named "The Other One"), they are still able to maintain a straight face during the whole thing. Many viewers really felt bad for the dogs.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The titular Black Hole from the Black Hole Mod is this. It's a black hole that can suck in players and blocks alike. It starts out small, but slowly grows bigger over time. Add in it's ability to follow players that get too far away, and you get an unstoppable force of nature that keeps the group on their toes constantly.
    • At one point while Tommy is alone with Philza, he notices that the Black Hole isn't following him anymore. After reading Wilbur and Slimecicle's death messages in chat, he sees the Black Hole barreling towards him.
  • The Girlfriend Mod at first seems like a normal mod right? That is until Tommy and Charlie reach the suburbs, where they find numerous corpses (including that of Ranboo, Tubbo, BadBoyHalo and HBomb) and are chased by girlfriend zombies.
    • They then find Quackity's corpse, or at least they think it is, since he immediately tells them to go to the sewers and find the helipad before dying for real.
    • And then the sewer section, oh god, the sewer section, where the girlfriend from the start of the episode starts randomly appearing at certain sections in the sewer, and once she's spotted by Tommy and Charlie she starts making noises similar to Balloon Boy from Five Nights At Freddy's.
    • Then we have the ending, where Charlie checks up on the captain. Turns out the captain is actually the girlfriend. Both of them scream as Tommy exits the game and runs out of his room IRL.
• Nightmare Retardant: When Tommy and Charlie spot Skeppy and Bad's corpses during the "Girlfriend Mod" video, they immediately insult Skeppy for his trolling.
