YMMV / Princess Evangile

Go To

  • Adorkable: Rise normally has her act together, even if she’s a bit clingy and tsuntsun sometimes. However, when she begins trying to practice kissing with Masaya by herself, she begins channeling pure concentrated dork. She even says kyaa with >< eyes
  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Is Ruriko genuinely clueless and innocent with regards to men and relationships, or does she actually know more than she lets on? In her route, at least, it's partially confirmed that she's genuinely clueless about some of these kinds of things, and has to get a lot of her knowledge from one of her trusted maids. However, the other routes, as well as the common route, leave it ambiguous.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: If YouTube comments and Steam forums related to the VN are to be believed, then Tamie is arguably the most popular of the supporting characters. So much so, that many a fan of the VN were delighted when the English translation of W Happiness came out so that they could play her route.
  • Even Better Sequel: The after-story routes of W Happiness are seen by some to be actually better than the main four routes of the original, primarily due to having less drama and angst, as well as fleshing out the personalities of the side-characters, helping to expand on the reasons for their actions in the original VN, and why they didn't have a chance to hook-up with Masaya there.
  • Strangled by the Red String: Mitsuki’s route requires a rewrite of her character, a retcon and the story awkwardly pushing them together. She never showed any attraction to Masaya in the original game, but now she’s crushing on him hard enough to change her wallpaper to his picture after he helps Marika rather than just starting to hang out with Rise again like in the original.
