• Ho Yay: Ishibashi, like Hatoko, also goes very giddy around Saotome, Squeeing and the like. Well, he is part of a presumably straight woman's psyche, but still...
• Just Here for Godzilla: From the looks of it, many people watched this movie just to see Ryunosuke Kamiki as positive Ishibashi. Or Yuki Furukawa as the main character's love interest.
• Moe: Hatoko is quite an adorable, cheerful little girl.
• The Woobie:
  • Ichiko, especially as her relationship with Saotome sours.
  • Ishibashi, during Ichiko's Despair Event Horizon.
