YMMV / Pinocchio 3000

• Broken Aesop: The point of the story is supposed to be Pinocchio becoming a better person except Pinocchio flat-out admits he just screwed up and didn't really learn anything. Also, him turning into a real boy has nothing to do with him learning to become a better person.
• Draco in Leather Pants: Scamboli gets this a lot. This mainly due to a combination of building an entire amusement in an attempt to please his daughter and the fact he is rather incompetent villain. However, he still tried to turn all the kids into robots and tried to kill Pinocchio.
• Spiritual Adaptation: Despite being a futuristic remake of the original fairy tale Pinocchio, this movie also shares a good number of similarities with Astro Boy.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: A lot of viewers found Scamboli to be sympathetic since he actually starts the movie benevolently (to the point of building an amusement park to please his daughter and the other children of Scamboville) and coming off as rather incompetent when he actually starts acting evil.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: For such an obscure animated film, the animation is actually really good. The animation is fluid, detailed, and appealingly stylized, it's genuinely impressive to look at. Excluding Marlene, of course.
