  • Captain Obvious Reveal: Most gamers were able to determine that Savior Joey was the Big Bad due to Foster telling Ken/Joey that he should make everyone happy in literally the opening scene. Thus the Council being under his control was no surprise whatsoever.
  • Enjoy the Story, Skip the Game: The writing is fairly fun and the characters entertaining but the actual gameplay is awkward, slow, and incredibly easy.
  • It's Easy, So It Sucks!: The game actually won't let you progress until you have done enough to accomplish the actual puzzles. It also has a hint system that will flat out tell you what you need to do if you get lost.
  • Narm: Explaining Union City was founded by United Kingdom immigrants in order to explain why the original game was very British in its humor despite taking place in Australia.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Given what Officer Orana says about her history, Saviour Joey is implied to have been abducting children for a long time. Also, the fate of Asio City.
  • Sequelitis: The game is generally considered to be good but doesn't hold a candle to the original.
  • So Okay, It's Average: Its considered to be a fairly decent but uninspiring puzzle based game.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The dark and gritty Cyberpunk feel of the original game (combined with it's sardonic sense of humor) has been changed to a bright iPod-like Techno Dystopia. The humor is also a lot less cynical and satirical, no longer criticizing present-day culture.
