• Fridge Horror:
  • Try watching Breaking Bad again knowing that all that time Walt and Jesse were working in the superlab, they were obliviously working on top of Lalo and Howard's shared grave. Brrrrrrr.
    • And then realise that after Walter has destroyed the lab, it is likely to be filled in by the authorities, with the grave never to be discovered.
  • Not only is Howard dead, but the cover story used to disguise his true fate will ensure that he will be forever remembered as the drug-addled wreck Kim and Jimmy framed him to be. The minor 'career setback' Kim and Jimmy thought they were giving him, to ease their consciences about the harm they were doing, will simply be his legacy.
    • Unless the story unravels, which would likely mean negative consequences for Kim.
  • Three seasons ago, Mike's conscience ate him up so much about the innocent man whose death he felt responsible for, that he finds the body himself and makes an anonymous call for it to be dug up so his family can have a proper burial. Now, Mike oversees the burial of an innocent man (whom he had likely interacted with on many occasions) whose death he felt responsible for, where his family will never find it.
  • Mike knew Howard. Having worked at the court house parking lot, Mike had had a casual connection with Howard and knew Howard was struggling with many personal demons. He knew Kim and Jimmy started playing false games on Howard, but there was nothing he could do about it. Howard inadvertently coming into the Jimmy/Kim/Lalo situation hurt him as much as it did them.
• Harsher in Hindsight: This is the episode where Bob had his heart attack, and could have died, and Kim is terrified that Jimmy will die when she thinks he's alone with Lalo.
• I Knew It!: That Lalo would end up buried beneath the site of the superlab was a popular fan theory.
• Narm:
  • The scene of Kim ranting and hyperventilating at Gus' house can be undercut by the body-double reveal. Sure, it makes sense, even without context that a Crazy-Prepared man like Gus obviously has a body-double in the decoy house. However, the revelation seems more like a skit from The Office, where the camera suddenly pans to a man darker than Gus, a bit smaller, with more hair and far less imposing, evoking a Mini-Me vibe.
  • The climatic scene where Gus dedicates what may end up being his final words to telling the high ranking members of The Cartel exactly what he thinks of them basically had to be done in Spanish. After all, Lalo is recording the video to show to Eladio, and Eladio doesn't even seem to be able to speak English. However, Giancarlo Esposito (Gus's actor) doesn't speak Spanish fluently, and gets his Spanish-speaking lines phonetically. His delivery of these lines is always pretty bad, but this speech in particular is noted by native Spanish speakers to sound practically unintelligible, on the level of Peter Griffin trying to speak Italian, reducing what should be a very dramatic and tense scene to something bizarre and humorous.
• Ron the Death Eater: Apparently the Tribeca Film Festival audience (where the episode was prescreened) at first thought Jimmy was being a Dirty Coward sending Kim over, when the creators thought it'd been pretty clear that he was giving her an option to run.
