- Ensemble Dark Horse: Sweet Pea, due to his ending being a Heartwarming Moment and one of the only real positive outcomes for Marty.
- Memetic Badass: Some storylines will turn Marty into one, such as the star of his own The '80s Buddy Cop Show.
- Memetic Loser: More often than not, however, will turn Marty into one of these, usually with an embarrassing death. Or an embarrassing lack thereof.
- Nightmare Fuel:
- Several of the endings involve Marty snapping and becoming a killer, such as "An Evening with Marty" (where he succeeds at Crippling the Competition for Bull too well), or "Date Night" (where he becomes a Stalker with a Crush determined to be with the target of his affections whether or not she's alive).
- The darkest ending that doesn't involve anyone dying is "Life Saver", where Marty successfully rescues someone with CPR, who turns out to be an Ungrateful Bastard that accuses him of sexual assault and then sues him into homelessness.
- The Deranged Animation the game sometimes slips into qualifies, especially the "Enjoy the Chicken" minigame, where Marty is suddenly photo-realistic and distorted.
- That One Level: The least-achieved ending, besides the Omega Ending of course, is "Idol Hands", which only 35% of players have reached according to Steam. To get it, Marty has to platform through a temple while dodging skeletons on the ground, along with literal Goddamned Bats that come rush from behind him.
