DEADLOCK, a Podcast, a YouTube channel, a wrestling company, a brand started by James Darnell (CMPuls3, or Pulse), Anthony Douglas (TonyPizzaGuy), and Marcus Stephenson (former THQ/2K employee, worked on the ''SmackDown vs Raw''/''WWE''/''WWE 2K'' games) banding together for one reason:
To talk about their love of Pro Wrestlin' (or Wrasslin'. Call it whatever you want.)
Initially, the format for the show was simply talking about the goings on in the world of Wrestling in that week. It didn't last.
In November 2019, Marcus left to do work for the Washington Football Team, By December that same year, James would take time off so that he could take a trip to Japan, with Tony being the only one left on the show. During James' absence, Tony brought in New Legacy's John "Jawnny" Blud to fill his place. James would return to Deadlock by January 2020, though Jawnny would remain a part of the podcast, with the trio hosting Deadlock ever since.
And the rest? Well, you already know.
In November of 2021, the Trio announced they would be opening their own Wrestling company: Deadlock Pro Wrestling.

- Distracted by the Sexy: YMMV on "sexy", but whenever Rikishi and his large posterior are featured in a retro review, whole minutes of the podcast are boiled away by Johnny and Pulse' utter fascination at it's size. It should be noted that when actual hot women are featured in part of a show, they at most give them a compliment or two, but nothing seems to fascinate 2/3rds of the podcast like Rikishi's ass.
- Played straight during the Retro Reviews, when women such as Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus, Ivory, etc. come up.
- Hidden Depths: Prior to DPW's founding, all three had in some way worked in Wrestling beforehand; Jawnny used to do highlights for CZW and Tony used to do production work for the WWE
