WMG / Warrior Cats: A Vision of Shadows

Twigpaw will become SkyClan's medicine cat
SkyClan has lost both its medicine cat and her apprentice, leaving them virtually defenseless. Twigpaw was shown to have an aptitude for medicine on multiple occasions. For example, she was shown to want to become a medicine cat apprentice as a kit, and helps out Puddleshine in ShadowClan. These actions could be foreshadowing her joining SkyClan as their new medicine cat. It makes sense, considering she's got biological kin there. I also doubt any of the other Clans would be willing to spare their medicine cats right after waging a bloody war. Alderheart, maybe, but I doubt he'd be willing to leave his Clan indefinitely, and he's too young to take an apprentice.
  • Jossed. Twigpaw decided to move back to Thunder Clan and never considered becoming a medicine cat, though Alderheart brought up the possibility.

Hawkwing will replace Leafstar and become a Big Good
We know from the blurb of Dark Night that SkyClan will settle around the lake, making it extremely likely that Hawkwing will appear. Since it's extremely likely that he is the father of Twigpaw and Violetpaw, he will attempt to rescue Violetpaw from Darktail, with the help of Twigpaw, and kill him as an act of revenge. Remember, this cat was responsible for the death of his father and most of SkyClan, as well as his entire family getting separated. Hawkwing will also succeed Leafstar, who will get killed off somewhere down the road. Twigpaw and Violetpaw will have to decide who they're more loyal to; their Clans of birth, or the Clan of their kin.
  • Confirmed: Hawkwing is the father.
  • Jossed in that Darktail is killed by Onestar, and Violetpaw rescues herself with the help of Needletail.

Needletail will become a full fledged antagonist
In Thunder and Shadow, Needletail grows more and more antagonistic over the course of the book. Her Kick the Dog moment at the end of the story seems to be cementing her Faceā€“Heel Turn. The preview for Shattered Sky shows her ordering Violetpaw to attack (and possibly kill) her own sister. While this Troper believes that Violetpaw will become a morally gray Anti-Hero or Anti-Villain, rather than an antagonist or "good guy", Needletail is beyond hope and will be killed (preferably by Ivypool). Alternatively, Needletail will grow dissatisfied with Darktail and launch a coup, overthrowing and replacing him as leader.
  • Jossed. Needletail has a Heel Realization and goes down fighting Darktail's Kin.
  • Also Jossed: Violetpaw is less of a morally ambiguous character and more of a Broken Bird.

Twigpaw and Violetpaw are Pebbleshine and Hawkwing's missing kits
Twigpaw has been depicted as being of a similar description to Hawkwing. If you compare the Hawkwing's Journey cover art to the cover of Thunder and Shadow, you can see how closely they resemble one another. This makes it highly likely the cat Echosong saw in her vision was Twigpaw. confirmed in Shattered Sky

Alderheart or Leafpool will become the next medicine cat of SkyClan
With the death of Echosong, disappearance of Frecklewish, and capture of Fidgetpaw, SkyClan now finds themselves in the same situation as ShadowClan. It seems highly unusual for a Clan to have 3 full medicine cats at one time, so this suggests that Alderheart was chosen by StarClan to serve another Clan. There is also possibility that Leafpool will end up training the medicine cat of another clan again, but on a more permanent basis.

Leafpool will die
It's been confirmed that Alderpaw is going to be a medicine cat. However, ThunderClan already has two medicine cats. Adding another one would create a too many cooks in the kitchen scenario, and would likely not be appreciated by any cat. It's unlikely Leafpool would step down, considering she only recently got her role back. Jayfeather is younger than her, so it would make a lot more sense for the Erins to spare him. Oh, and since they killed off Firestar, logically Bramblestar, Squirrelflight, and Leafpool would be next in line. Bramblestar has his nine lives gig, so it's doubtful that they will kill him off this series. It seems very likely that either Leafpool or Squirrelflight will die, with the former's death arguably being more likely.

Featherpaw's warrior name will be Featherfall
It would yet again reference Feathertail, who she is an Identical Stranger of, and get Crowfeather pissed off.
  • Jossed, it's Featherpelt.

There will be an evil medicine cat
At this point, it's long overdue.

There will be an albino cat
The Erins mentioned the possibility of including an albino cat as early as the beginning of Omen of the Stars. Maybe now it will finally happen?
  • Half and half confirmation. We finally got an albino cat, but they showed up a lot earlier than expected. Pink Eyes from A Forest Divided, the fifth Dawn of the Clans book is albino.

There will be a mute character
There have been characters with various disabilities, including blind cats and a deaf cat, but never a mute cat. Such a character would be interesting to see, and is likely to appear now that Dawn of the Clans is introducing even more disabled cats.

Sunstar will make another appearance
Being a wise and cool cat, it's possible he could pop up again.

One of the main POV characters will be a RiverClan cat
Ever since Power of Three, RiverClan has been kind of shafted, as its so far away from ThunderClan that there's very little interaction with it. With Dawn of the Clans going out of its way to make up for how shafted WindClan was early on, its possible that Arc Six could do the same for RiverClan.
  • Jossed, at least for now.

Potential Villains
  • Mapleshade
  • Rowanstar
  • Someone unexpected
  • Sol
  • Someone new
  • Featherpelt
  • One of Breezepelt and Heathertail's kits.

The Clans and StarClan will be unable to communicate with each other
There are a lot of complaints about the newer books having too much StarClan. Having them vanish would provide good conflict and would address those complaints. One of the main storylines of the arc could be the Clans attempting to regain their connection with StarClan.

The "Apprentice's Quest" is a journey to SkyClan
Something happens to make Bramblestar reveal the existence of SkyClan to his son/daughter, and they have to head out on a quest to find it. (Perhaps StarClan does vanish and Bramblestar sends them to see if SkyClan is still connected to StarClan?) There may even be an uneasy alliance with Sol, since he knows the way to SkyClan. (Although, this would probably require the presence of Dovewing, since she's the only one who knows that Sol knows about it.)
  • This seems very likely now that SkyClan is confirmed for the arc.
  • Confirmed. However, Sol has not yet appeared, Dovewing isn't involved at all, and StarClan hasn't vanished.

Minty will come to Gatherings
She's still friends with the Clan cats, and it would be a good way to show the Clans being more inclusive, by allowing outsiders at Gatherings.
  • Jossed.

Brackenfur will die
Now that Graystripe and Sandstorm have retired, he's the cat who has been a warrior the longest in ThunderClan. Since the Erins have killed off a few Original Series characters in each of the past few years (Firestar, Mousefur, Ferncloud, and Spirit Spottedleaf in 2012, Ravenpaw and Sorreltail in 2013, and Dustpelt in 2014), he might be killed to show the stakes before Graystripe and Sandstorm inevitably die in book six.
  • Actually, Sandstorm dies in book one. However, a Brackenfur death is still possible (or even plausible).
