WMG / Klonoa: Dream Crusaders

The "him" who Hue wants to summon is...

• Ghadius (this is the one that Phantomile's Council of Investigation believes is the most likely).
  • Unlikely. Ghadius' initial plan was to summon Nahatomb (a creature made of nightmares) to destroy Phantomile, as he was so fed up with it and its inhabitants that he didn't care that he would be destroyed, too. This would contradict with Hue's plan to bring everyone Back from the Dead.
• Nahatomb.
  • Also unlikely; see above.

The King of Sorrow seen in this comic is not the same being as the baby KOS at the end of Klonoa 2.

This comic will reveal that, instead of the baby being the King reincarnated, it is actually a new King of Sorrow, and the original one really did die. That would explain why Hue was able to bring the King Back from the Dead.

In addition to the 5 revived villains shown so far, Hue's Back from the Dead spell also brought back...

• The remaining bosses that Klonoa has faced previously (i.e. Ghadius, Nahatomb, and/or minor bosses like Leptio the Flower Clown).
• Klonoa's grandpa; killed by Joka in Door to Phantomile.
  • Then again, this may depend on which continuity is being used to determine Grandpa's state prior to Hue's spell, as he's alive and well in the alternate Klonoa Heroes continuity. Of course, the game series has never been one for strong continuity to begin with.
  • Grandpa is confirmed to be alive. It's also confirmed that Joka killing him is canon in this continuity.
• Butz, Guntz's father; killed by Janga prior to the events of Klonoa Heroes.

Leorina mentions early on that something is happening to her. This "something" could be related to her being mutated by the power of sorrow in Lunatea's Veil.

While the game's credits did show that she recovered from her physical injuries, perhaps her body still has some residual power of sorrow left, and it could be consuming her. This may lead to her going full One-Winged Angel again and turning back into Cursed Leorina.

• If it is consuming her, it seems to have started at her head, as the Cool Mask she now wears may indicate that that area of her face has deteriorated, and she had a brief but sharp headache shortly after landing in the Empire of Dreams, and again during the fight with Janga and Bagoo.

If Joka has not actually made a Heel–Face Turn yet, he will eventually.

He seems pretty enthusiastic about wanting to side with Heart Moo and Popka, and gets angry when they continue to be suspicious of him. He seems pretty genuine, especially considering that he's frightened instead of excited at the thought of Ghadius being brought back to life (though that may be more because he disappointed the latter in their last team-up).

• Even if he's not genuine, he seems like he's still heading towards the path of a Heel–Face Turn... or a Redemption Equals Death.
• If he is secretly plotting against the heroes, he might end up Becoming the Mask and joining them for real.
• Then there's how Klonoa's gonna react to the prospect of Joka being on his side for a change, despite his grandpa being willing to Turn the Other Cheek. Best-case scenario, it'll end up being Teeth-Clenched Teamwork... if only because Joka needs to somehow make up for killing Klonoa's grandpa.

Assuming Hue brought Grandpa and Butz back, restoring Noctis Sol's power will mean losing them again.

If this is the case, perhaps the two father figures will try to convince their children to go through with it, citing that their newly-gained time together may've been short, but it was wonderful.

• Grandpa worries that this will be the case, and tells Popka and Heart Moo not to tell Klonoa about his resurrection because of it.
• Of course, Guntz may not be too keen on losing his father again, so he may steal Noctis' power for himself just to spend more time with Butz.

After the fight with Janga and Bagoo, Ellie offer's to replace Klonoa's battle-torn clothing with a new outfit. This new outfit will end up being:

• His Wiimake outfit.◊
• His outfit from the cancelled animated movie.
  • Confirmed. His new outfit looks similar to his movie outfit - he has a beige scarf, green shorts, white gloves, and beige shoes with steel toe caps. The only piece that's missing is the yellow jacket.
• An original outfit created by Girolami.

Janga and Garlen will return for the final confrontation with Claire and Hue.

Janga's body was never found after his fight with Klonoa and co, and Nightmare Klonoa subdued Garlen without killing him (with some convincing from Suiryu and Hewpoe). This could make them prime candidates should Claire need additional reinforcements.

Klonoa's past will be looked at.

With the return of Klonoa's grandfather and him likely dropping some big exposition, we will get the comics version of Klonoa's history. Potentially:

• Klonoa is the last of a whole tribe of Dream Travelers who protected the worlds together but were wiped out by a malignant force, with Klonoa being their last and most powerful member. His parents died protecting him and was put under the care of his Grandfather. It will turn out Claire isn't truly a goddess, but another powerful member of this tribe.
• Klonoa is a parentless being brought into creation by the creator of existence, made a Dream Traveler watch after the worlds. It will then be revealed all the worlds and their inhabitants, even Claire, were brought into being by the dreams of this creator being who might come down for Divine Intervention if need be.

Ghadius will try to steal Claire's role as Big Bad, but will be beaten by Nahatomb.

Specifically the Fallen Hero from Klonoa Heroes, he will beat them (as well as Hue) and become the final threat to take care of. He will then recruit the Nahatomb from Door To Phantomile to assist him in destroying Klonoa whom he wants revenge on, then the rest of existence. The Nahatomb from Klonoa Beach Volleyball will also be appear, but as a humorous minor villain who quickly realizes he is way out of his league and either dies comically or joins the good guys.

During the final confrontation with Hue and Claire, the following characters will be Killed Off for Real:

• Nightmare Klonoa
  • Potentially via sacrificing himself
• Ellie
• Leorina
• Joka

The comic will end with Klonoa waking back up in his home world.

The idea behind Dream Traveller of Noctis Sol was that Klonoa goes on these adventures in his sleep, so once Claire and Hue are taken care of and he has to leave his friends again, he'll wake up in his own bed, some of the finer details of his adventure already fading from his memory. Though he assures himself it won't matter as he goes about his day, and he'll still look forward to his next dream-time adventure.

By the end of the comic, Klonoa will receive Ellie's yellow jacket.

As stated above, Klonoa's new outfit looks similar to his movie outfit, with the jacket being the only missing piece. And since Ellie's jacket looks similar to the movie concept jacket, the only question is how Klonoa's gonna end up getting it.
