Purpleman's Funhouse is a Five Nights at Freddy's Fan Game developed by Lowpoly_Skinwalker and taking heavy inspiration from Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion.
The game is set in a Five Nights at Freddy's World AU where humans, animatronics, and sentient animals live together. The protagonist of the game is Elizabeth Afton, who finds herself in a place she doesn't recognize and must survive the monsters inhabiting it.
This game contains examples of:
- Adaptational Heroism:
- While in the original series Elizabeth becomes the antagonistic Circus Baby, here she's just an innocent child trying to survive the horror she's found herself into.
- Similarly, Ballora here is not a murderous animatronic but a loving mother.
- Springtrap probably gets the biggest of them all. Not only is he and William separate beingsnote , but he's also the police chief.
- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: While in the original games it's just a theory at its best, in this game Ballora is confirmed as being a member of the Afton family. To be precise, she's William's wife and Elizabeth's mother.
- Animalistic Abomination: The enemies look more like organic beings rather than animatronics, and they're not pretty to look at...
- Antagonist Title: The titular Purpleman is of course the Big Bad of the game.
- Big Bad: William Afton aka Purpleman, the creator of the funhouse and of the horrors inside it.
- Eldritch Location: The fourth level isn't a zone created by William but an entire pocket dimension created by Funhouse Freddy.
- Final Boss: William Afton himself is the last enemy Elizabeth has to face to reach freedom.
- Killed Off for Real:
- Funhouse Chica is burned alive by the end of the second level.
- In the Good Ending, William is shot down by the police after he attacks the officers.
- Mad Scientist: Judging by the monsters inhabiting the funhouse, William has fully embraced this trope here.
- Multiple Endings:
- Bad Ending: William catches Elizabeth and she and her mother will likely be turned into monsters like those met inside the funhouse.
- Good Ending: Elizabeth manages to escape, the police rescues Ballora, and William is Killed Off for Real. However, Flesh Bonnie has escaped the funhouse as well...
- Sequel Hook: The last thing the Good Ending shows is Flesh Bonnie heading towards Chipper's house, with the title Nightmare At Chipper's appearing.
- Would Hurt a Child: William is completely fine with Elizabeth being killed by his own monstrous creations.
