- The story wasn't fully worked out when The Night was first animated, so Daria left it ambiguous if the staff turned Missi into a vampire, or if she always was a vampire and just pretended to be human to get her hands on it; this is also why Missi's hair covered her ears before she transformed. It was later decided that the staff turned her into a vampire and she was completely human before that.
