Trivia / The Revival

  • Enforced Method Acting: During the tag team triple threat match between FTR, Roppongi Vice and United Empire at Forbidden Door 2022 (a show that had been absolutely plagued by injuries and illnesses taking wrestlers out of action in the lead-up), Dax legitimately separated his shoulder and had to be taken to the back to get it taped up before coming back out again to continue the match. This gave the match a gripping story as Cash had to hold the line on his own while facing two other teams at the same time (including such dramatic spots as instinctively going back to his corner to try and tag out while United Empire was brutalising him, only for Dax's absence to force him to tag Roppongi Vice in instead) and resulted in a phenomenal pop when Dax came back out again for his hot tag.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Harwood was a star Jim Cornette tried to hire back in 2010 to Ring of Honor due to his similarity to Barry Windham, but was unable to due to issues the company was having.
    • Cash was the name Wheeler originally pitched for himself when he first joined WWE developmental. Dusty Rhodes went with Dash instead as it reminded him of his son Cody's "Dashing" gimmick. Fittingly, he got to finally use it after leaving WWE... and making his debut in Cody's company.
    • Shortly before leaving WWE, rumors circulated that the company wanted to repackage the team with a Denser and Wackier approach, which the team would later confirm, as they were even give storyboards with drawings of the gimmick and gear that they kept after their departure. They have to be seen to be believed.

Misc. Trivia

  • The Revival's "farewell" storylines in WWE (including The Usos catching them in the showers shaving each other's backs and putting an irritating ointment down their trunks, and even the never-used-on-air ludicrous new gimmick and gear planned for them) were inducted into WrestleCrap.
