Trivia / Terraria Calamity

Go To

  • Approval of God: The Calamity crew was shown to like the Infernum mod, even recommending it when they removed Malice mode.
  • Creative Differences: At least 22 developers left the mod in one swoop in early 2023, citing long, unrepentant streaks of mistreatment by Fabsol.
  • Creator Backlash: If his response RichardEB's metal cover of "Roar of the Jungle Dragon" is any indication, DM DOKURO doesn't look back on the songs he made for Calamity very fondly, though he's at least supportive of fans who still enjoy them.
  • Hostility on the Set: Though never stated outright, the mass exodus of developers is confirmed to involve Fabsol's treatment of them.
  • Urban Legend of Zelda: Before 1.2 was released, there were rumors that Permafrost and Amidias could join you as town NPCs in the update. While this was proven false upon the release of version 1.2, version 1.4 allowed Permafrost to become an NPC as the Archmage after defeating Cryogen while version 1.4.2.001 had Amidias become available as a town NPC as the Sea King.
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things:
    • It wasn't negativity that was the prime cause for Fabsol to take their "permanent" leave. It was the result of leaks which were successfully suppressed.
    • Part of the reason DM DOKURO decided to move on from composing music for Calamity was because he was constantly being harassed by impatient or ungrateful fans to the point of receiving death threats, which primarily stemmed from the amount of fans wanting him to make "Stained, Brutal Calamity" (Supreme Calamitas's theme) as soon as possible.
