Trivia / Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye

Go To

  • Actor Allusion: In "Elvis is In the Building," Bobby goes undercover as an Elvis Impersonator. His actor, Rick Peters, played the role of Elvis in the movie Elvis Meets Nixon, in which Elvis wants to become a federal agent. The characters directly reference the movie, saying that the guy who played Elvis was "not as good as you, Bobby."
  • California Doubling: The series is set in Washington, D.C. and shot in Toronto.
  • The Danza: Tara Samuel as Tara Williams; Troy Kotsur as recurring character Troy Myers.
  • Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Deanne Bray as Sue Thomas, as well as many deaf actors playing deaf characters. Most of the deaf guest stars act entirely in ASL.
  • The Other Darrin: D's wife Donna is played by Janet Bailey in "A Blast from the Past" (Season 1), then Karen Glave in "Rocket Man" (Season 2).
  • Real-Life Relative:
    • Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas) is married to Troy Kotsur (Troy Myers).
    • Yannick Bisson's wife, Chantal Craig, also appeared in a number of episodes.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: "Who I Am" by Jessica Andrews.
  • Screwed by the Network:
    • The show was canceled after 3 seasons at the height of its popularity, because a) the network bungled the actors' contracts, and b) the money ran out.
    • Plus Deanne Bray was pregnant, which might've proved difficult to incorporate into the show's plot. (Then again, worse shows have managed it.)
  • You Look Familiar: Jackie Richardson plays a landlady in "Bombs Away" early in the first season, then returns for two more episodes as Lucy's grandmother.
