Go To

  • Acting for Two: Four, Five and Seven are all voiced by Seán Cullen.
  • Cast Incest: Colin Mochrie (Two) and Debra McGrath (Mama) are married in real life.
  • The Cast Showoff: Dwayne Hill is given a lot of opportunities to show off his vocal range with the different personas that Three puts on every episode.
  • The Danza: "April Fools" guest-stars an uncredited Maurice LaMarche as a boy named Maurice who auditions for the monsters' play, helps most of them in a prank they pull to get back at Four and Five and turns out to be an alien.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: There's never been a full release of the series, but can easily be found online via Treehouse Direct on YouTube.
    • Averted in Brazil and the United Kingdom. Many episodes have been released on DVD in those two countries, although some episodes weren't released on DVD in Brazil (the majority of episodes online are taken from TV recordings).
  • Recursive Adaptation: The cartoon is adapted from a children's book and happened to have several book adaptations of its own that had the monsters drawn to resemble their animated depictions and were published by Hyperion imprint Volo.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: The end credits only acknowledge the actors in the main cast and do not specify which characters they voice at all.
  • Written by Cast Member: Seán Cullen, the voice of Four, Five and Seven wrote the majority of episodes that focused on his characters.
