• Creator Backlash: After the fic was taken down, AngelWhoIsNotASerialKiller addressed its deletion on her Tumblr in two posts in response to questions about it. She stated its deletion was because of several factors, namely that she and Lucky had lost interest in Hetalia and Angel found the graphic content too insensitive and problematic:
  Angel: I don’t plan to, no. I also deleted it because honestly, we were never going to finish it. Both Lucky and I have kind of moved away from Hetalia, and we lost passion for it. Plus there were a lot of problematic things with it that I didn’t feel comfortable with being out in the open...I deleted it because as I got older I was appalled at how insensitive a lot of the graphic content came across as. Needless to say, Lucky and I lost the love for it, and writing it became a source of stress rather than fun.
• Word of God: Angel revealed the killers' identities when asked. White was Liechtenstein, Blue was Canada (with America as an accomplice), Green was Lithuania, Pink was Poland, Yellow was England, Purple was France, Red was Hong Kong, and Black was Iceland.
