- Career Resurrection: This was Tom Hardy's first major role in years and this and Bronson gave his career a major boost after it was nearly snuffed out in it's infancy with Star Trek: Nemesis with Nolan even casting him in Inception based on his performance as Bob here.

- Fake Russian: Yuri's actor, Karel Roden, is Czech.
- Playing Against Type: One-Two, an awkward womanizing criminal who can and does freak out when things get crazy, is far from Gerard Butler's usual on-screen badass.
- Quietly Cancelled: The end credits tease that the characters will return in The Real RocknRolla. While director Guy Ritchie brought the sequel up in a few interviews, nothing ever came of it, quietly canceling a film series before it even got off the ground.
- Serendipity Writes the Plot: On the day of filming the sex scene, Gerard Butler had a nasty throat infection and Thandie Newton refused to kiss him. Guy Ritchie then improvised and revised the scene into the very funny montage.
- Stillborn Franchise: Thandiwe Newton revealed that Guy Ritchie stated that he hopes to extend Rockn Rolla into a trilogy. At the end of the film there is a title card stating "Johnny, Archy and the Wild Bunch will be back in The Real Rockn Rolla". According to both the DVD Commentary and an interview with Ritchie, the second film has been written and is awaiting studio approval.
- In a 2011 interview, promoting Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, when asked about a possible sequel, Ritchie said:You know, I've spent a lot of time thinking about it! I've written a script, I think it's a great script, and Joel (Silver) wants to pay for me to do it. But up until now we haven't had the time to do it. It's sitting there and we'd all like to do it, it's just a question of when we're going to fit it in. So we'll wait and see." He also mentioned that as long as Warner Bros. keeps throwing him "big movies like the Sherlock Holmes films and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., then it may not be happening soon.
