• What Could Have Been: It was originally set to be Steve McQueen (actor)'s next movie after 1980's The Hunter, but then he died. Cue a decade in Development Hell.
• The film is pretty popular with snipers in the anglosphere, enough that the term "a quigley" entered their lexicon for a replication of one of the film's most well known trick shots where Quigley kills two goons with one bullet.
