• Follow the Leader: Some people believe that he was inspired to create his MarioTehPlumber persona by another YouTuber called AKnotholeResident, who also does not like Sonic's post-Sonic Adventure design and was particularly grieved when Sonic the Hedgehog 4 kept the newer design for a game that was intended to be a Homage to Sonic's classic days. When the trailer for that game was released, AKnotholeResident uploaded a trailer reaction video and ranted about the "ugly, stretched-out, green-eyed Sonic". Sound familiar? Not long after that, another Sonic 4 trailer reaction video by a YouTuber called Testies125 was made, which had so many similarities to MarioTehPlumber that there are rumours that the two were the same person despite sounding different: Cluster F-Bombs galore, fixation on character design, and a Fan Hater attitude.
• Missing Episode: Several videos from his numerous defunct alt accounts.
• Parody Retcon: Claimed to be a Troll, then changed absolutely nothing in his videos. Say it with us, without any actual indication of being a parody, etc., etc..
• Streisand Effect: A variation: he infamously hoarded over a hundred Rosalina amiibos in 2015 because he dislikes her "Hentai" character design and because he wanted to make things difficult for those who genuinely wanted an amiibo of her out of spite. In direct response to this incident, some DeviantArt members made images of him with Rosalina as his "waifu", to make fun of him.
