- Development Hell: In 2000, it was announced that Nelvana was working on developing a television series based on the property. Apparently at least a couple of scripts were written, but it never made it to television, and nothing has been heard about it since then. Plans for a Little Critter television series resurfaced in 2016, when it was announced that the property would be expanded into a multiplatform franchise, with help from Mercer Mayer's longtime partner John Sansevere, and former Cartoon Network president Stuart Snyder. Later that year, it was announced that 9 Story Media Group would be producing the new series. Nothing new has been heard since.
- Licensed Game:
- The franchise is fondly remembered for its Living Books releases. 11 books have been chosen to be released as interactive books for iOS devices.
- In 2001, a point-and-click Adventure Game was made, Little Critter and the Great Race, involving Little Critter preparing and partaking in Critterville's first annual soapbox derby.
- What Could Have Been: Apparently, Baby Brother was initially supposed to be a girl.
