• Actor-Inspired Element: While the team ultimately went with someone else for the role, Minus Pico being Australian was inspired by one of the people who auditioned for him being Australian.
• Approval of God:
  • Lago made a tweet regarding genderbent versions of the Minus Boyfriend trio on Twitter.
  • Minus was one of the many Game Mods shown in the Kickstarter trailer for Friday Night Funkin': The Full-Ass Game as part of the compilation for the community's contributions, alongside lagoAmin's other mod, Funkin' With Dalia.
• Creator Breakdown: LagoAnims suffered from severe burnout from struggling to work on Minus, Funkin' With Dahlia, and multiple personal commissions all at the same time, which when combined with the FNF fandom constantly finding itself in controversy, lead to him becoming demotivated to work on anything. Once things calmed down enough for him to return, he felt uncomfortable with how far the mod had strayed from his original vision, ultimately resulting in him deciding to restart the mod completely.
• Fake Australian: Cougar MacDowall, a Canadian voice actor, was planned to play the Australian Minus Pico before the Continuity Reboot.
• Fake Brit: Everyone in the Minus Dearest family, who are all British, were planned to be played by American voice actors before the Continuity Reboot.
  • cheebsva, an American voice actor and artist, was to play the British Minus Girlfriend.
  • RecD, an American voice actor and singer, was to play the British Minus Daddy Dearest.
  • milkypossum, an American music composer and voice actress, was to play the British Minus Mommy Mearest.
• Official Fan-Submitted Content: On February 15th, 2021, lagoAmins held an art contest where fans could draw up a design for the red-and-blue Boyfriend icon. The winner of the art contest was DevilHare, due to their design being simple, yet striking. This design was implemented into the Week 4 update as Mean Boyfriend.
• Schedule Slip: The Week 4 update was supposed to be released on March 16th, 2021, but was delayed until the 18th due to technical difficulties.
• Trolling Creator: On the official Minus Team Twitter, Clem posted a "leak" of Senpai, only for it to be an image of Prince Charming.
• Underage Casting: cheebsva, who was sixteen when she was originally cast, was supposed to play Minus GF, an adult, before the Continuity Reboot.
• What Could Have Been:
  • This Twitter post showed that originally the player character would have just turned into an icon in the Game Over screen, but it was scrapped for the normal blueballs death screen instead.
  • Whitty from Vs Whitty was supposed to have a Minus counterpart included as part of the WhitMore mod. Most of the animations were completed, but a series of events caused the creator of Whitty to leave the community and the mod was cancelled out of respect to the creator, which in turn scrapped the Minus version.
  • Beta Boyfriend originally was going to have the same vocals as Boyfriend while Blue Boyfriend's vocals would be high and cute. The team decided to swap their vocals around thanks to community feedback.

• Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: The controversy regarding Whitty and its effects led the creator of the WhitMore mod scrapping the mod in respect of Whitty's creator leaving the community. Since Minus Whitty was supposed to be part of said mod, it was cancelled alongside it.
