• lagoAnims has confirmed a few things on their social media accounts, notably their Twitter. The official Minus Twitter account has made statements about the characters as well, although most of these won't be mentioned in the Continuity Reboot. These include:
  • Beta Boyfriend not wearing a shirt.
  • Beta Boyfriend and Minus Pico having a "70's bro" dynamic.
  • The three Boyfriends having a rivalry over who gets to date Minus Girlfriend, to the point where she tells them that whoever raps the best gets to date her.
  • The Boyfriends' hats not being a part of their heads, which makes it even more confusing with Mean Boyfriend since there is a bone inside the brim of his cap.
  • Minus Pico being Australian.^note This was due to the fact that one of the auditioners for Minus Pico was Australian
  • Beta Boyfriend once crapped himself in 5th grade.
  • Mean Boyfriend being an ex-rapper who also hung out with The Notorious B.I.G..
  • Minus Girlfriend and her family being British.
  • Minus Monster's real name is William and he is Minus Skid's father. "Minus Lila" is still Skid's mom.
  • While originally just a joke on one of their Twitch streams, the idea of Blue Boyfriend's real name being "Idiot" was popular enough to become canon if the new character select menu previews are anything to go by.
• This tweet which was a Q&A about Mean Boyfriend managed to reveal several things about him as well as some of the characters.
  • He is 21 years old. Beta is 19 and Blue is 18.
  • He is canonically 6'2". Beta is 5'9", Blue is 5'1", and Girlfriend is 5'5".
  • He does work out.
  • His favorite restaurant is McDonald's.
  • He is the strongest of the Boyfriend trio and could beat Beta and Blue in an arm-wrestling match.
  • He used to be friends with Pico, who was the one who gave him his jacket.

• The official Minus Twitter has announced that the characters will get their own voices and the Boyfriends themselves will say something when chosen in the character select menu. The voice actors are as follows:
