Trivia / Dogengers

Go To

General:

  • Dogengers was the first tokusatsu series in which its lead director is a woman. Specifically Fumie Arakawa, who previously worked on Tokusatsu GaGaGa as assistant director.
  • During the airing of season 2 in Japan, Dogengers received a Malay dub, airing on TV2 channel. The dub was possible thanks to main sponsor Ohga Pharmacy establishing their Malaysia branch in early 2021, allowing the show to be broadcast in the country. This was done in order to give their new branch some exposure.

Show:

  • Acting for Two: Yabai Kamen and Shaberryman (Talkieman) share the same voice actor.
    • Kita-Q-Man and Yamashiron/Redron also share the same voice actor. The actor uses Yuki Taki pseudonym as Kita-Q-Man and his real name (Kunitaka Kanehiro) when playing as Yamashiron/Redron.
  • Actor Allusion: Rookie's suit actor is Yoshifumi Oshikawa, known for playing Imagin Deneb in Kamen Rider Den-O. Both heroes are associated with the color green. He even gets to reunite with Yuto Sakurai's actor Yuichi Nakamura in season 1 finale during the "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue montage.
  • Channel Hop: The first season was aired on KBC (Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting), a broadcasting station in Fukuoka. Its second season Nice Buddy premiered on Tokyo-based station Tokyo MX, with the third season High School bringing the series back to its original platform in addition to still being aired on Tokyo MX and YouTube for the first time ever.
  • No Export for You: The shows are available in Japan and in Southeast Asia via Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Secret Identity: Subverted. Out of all the heroes in Dogengers, Kita-Q-Man is the only one who's open about his secret identity. The link to his Instagram is displayed on his Twitter and he has shown his face a lot on his YouTube channel.
  • Written by Cast Member: Shabberryman is also the series' head writer.
