  • Acting for Two: All of the voice actors play several side characters in addition to the main ones.
  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: The IMDb summary for "Punch-Thunk Love" says the episode is about Eep trying to find a new girlfriend for Thunk after learning he's dating Blurg Brood. That does happen, but early in the episode and is over in literally a few minutes; the rest of the episode is the Croods & the Broods joining forces to stop their kids' romance.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Thomas Lennon as Munk's sister & mother and Stephanie Lemelin & Cree Summer as male kids Clip & Cliff respectively.
  • Missing Episode: Sort of. For whatever reason, the third episode of Season 1, "Wet Hot Ahhh! Valley Summer/Grug vs. the Moon", is not listed on the DreamWorksTV website. It is still on Netflix, though.
  • The Other Darrin: Almost all of the character voices (the lone exception being Belt) are recast for the show.
    • For clarification, Stephanie Lemelin note  replaces Emma Stone as Eep (see below), Dan Milano replaces Nicholas Cage as Grug, Cree Summer replaces Catherine Keener as Ugga, AJ LoCascio replaces Clark Duke as Thunk, Dominic Catrambone replaces Ryan Reynolds as Guy for his two appearances, and Laraine Newman replaces the late Cloris Leachman as Gran.
  • Role Reprise:
    • Chris Sanders is credited as voicing Belt in his few cameo appearances, though the producers most likely used archival audio.
    • Stephanie Lemelin, who voices Eep here, previously played the role in the video game adaptation of the film The Croods: Prehistoric Party!.
  • Written by Cast Member: Dan Milano (Grug, Womp) wrote the episodes "Grug vs. the Moon" & "Mom Genes."
  • The second season was the first DreamWorks Animation production to be released after the sale to NBCUniversal was completed on August 22, 2016, premiering on Netflix on August 26, about four days later.
