• Accidentally-Correct Writing: Black Hole in this game pulls enemies into its mass black body before evaporating into a small white mass which causes a massive explosion. This is actually accurate; Black Hole did not just conveniently disappear like in some other fictions shown, Hawking radiation has proven that after a black hole loses its mass, an enormous explosion surpassing nukes will happen.
• Acting for Two:
  • Besides Eva, Marina Inoue also voices Varna, Chaos' Star Crossed Lover.
  • Mobius shares the same seiyuu with adult!Alberti. Too bad they never meet due to the fact that Mobius is located at the generation 2 tower.
• Actor Allusion: By now it should be obvious that Masayuki Katou is Idea Factory's go to guy for Chivalrous Perverts. His character specific DLC item, while other characters get their family heirlooms or personal accessories, is Winfield's headband.
• Fountain of Expies:
  • The following Agarest games all feature Avatars of the Gods who greatly resemble Dyshana. Agarest 2 ends up paying with this when the Dyshana Expy is revealed to not be the game's Avatar of the Gods: Faz is.
  • All following games will feature a pink-haired elf girl based on Ellis who can summon a Larva and will only be romanceable in the final generation, they may vary slightly in personality, but they’re clearly based on her.
• Screwed by the Network:
  • Why was the North American PS3 version not released on a retail disc? Sony America doesn't allow retail discs without English voice acting.
  • Oddly averted with with the prequel and sequel, which still has no English voice option, but did get disc releases.
• Sex Sells: The entire US Marketing for the games. As if it couldn't get any more ridiculous, Agarest 2's Special Edition comes with a blow-up doll. Yikes. It's actually just a plushie toy.
• What Could Have Been: European Agarest was going to be Hardcore, but it was changed due to demand by fans.
