Moon Girl Landing

  • Lunella believing that she's failed at her attempt to become a superhero, and has to stop to protect her family. She sends Devil back to his time (or tries to), and tries to end her friendship with Casey.

Check Yourself

  • LOS-307 is a self-aware supercomputer who just wants friends, but spends their days sitting alone in storage or being made to compete against people. Most of their chess game with Lunella is spent trying to chat with the girl, but she’s too competitive to pay attention to LOS’s attempts to befriend her.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

  • Lunella revealing to her family that she lost her hair and explaining why.

The Beyonder

  • Eduardo being genuinely hurt after realizing that Lunella did their entire science fair project herself and ignored all his ideas.
  • Lunella after Beyonder pretends to destroy humanity. She says nothing except for a tiny “Why?” at what she thinks is the pointless genocide of her entire species. Thankfully, it's all fake, but it was still a horrible experience.

Devil On Her Shoulder

  • Torg crying after his fight with Devil as he laments people seeing him as nothing more than a destructive monster.

OMG Issue #1 and OMG Issue #2

  • Lunella tries to force herself to get back to the lab to save Devil Dinosaur from a bomb Morlak has set, but she's too late by seconds. The bomb detonates right in front of her. While Devil's not dead, Lunella's Broken Tears say it all as she kneels.
  • Maris Morlak turns out to be quite the Tragic Villain. While he's a villain to be sure, the credit for his work was stolen from him and when he became ruthless and power-mad in his attempts to get credit, Mimi turned against him. Even in the present, Morlak seems somewhat conflicted about his intent, and when Mimi tells him he can stop his plans he pauses and hesitates before declaring “It's too late!” Ultimately, he's sucked into the portal after a Hope Spot when Mimi reminds him that he always mattered to her.
  • Lunella letting herself get sucked into the portal to deactivate it. The season ends with an angry, determined Mimi fixing the portal and saying “We're going to get her back.”

The Great Beyond-er!

  • Lunella is left severely traumatized from her battle with Molecule Man, and Casey and Mimi have no idea why, because from their perspective she was gone for about two hours.

Suit Up!

Belly of the Beast

Ride or Die

  • Quickwhip's backstory: She came to New York seeking to be a baker, but couldn't find enough work to support herself and in desperation, took a job with Lady Bullseye. She thought she could just do a couple of heists and then get on with her life, but is now stuck doing crimes because her criminal history makes it hard for her to get a legitimate job, and on top of that, she's being targeted by Lady Bullseye.

Kid Kree

Wish-Tar

  • After the Beyonder gives Bobby The Myth the literal "baddest piano ever", Lunella scolds him because she thought, for once, his actions wouldn't screw her over. This causes the Beyonder to genuinely get upset and go missing for the rest of the episode batch, not even showing up for the supervillain backstories.

Make It, Don't Break It

  • Lunella goes into a full-blown Heroic BSoD when her robot is destroyed. Even Dr. Ojo realizes that she's pushed Lunella too hard.

The Devil You Know

In the Heist

Dog Day Mid-Afternoon

Roller Jam!

Dancing With Myself

  • After Lunella spots everyone having a date while she, herself, is dateless the scene transitions to her bawling her eyes out in the bathroom.

Family Matters

The Molecular Level

  • Molecule Man's reason for attacking Lunella and her family? It's because he wants to avenge his planet and his people.
  • From beginning to end, to say that Lunella had a hard time in this episode would not even begin to describe how much trauma she went through in this episode.
  • Molecule Man traps Lunella in her room to make her hear her family suffer as he gets his revenge. On his side of the room, he generates a tornado causing debris to fly everywhere, and a stray board flies at her grandfather's arm and crushes it. The other side isn't any better; Lunella hears the commotion coming from the other side and she can't do anything about it. She tries pounding at the ooze, but it's no use as the ooze is impenetrable. She tries to find an exit, but there isn't one. She even tries calling the Beyonder and tries to apologize to him for lashing out at him in the "Wish-tar" episode. At this point, she runs out of viable options and breaks down.
Lunella: I can't do it. (sobs) I can't save anyone. (sobs) I can't even save my own family…! (continues sobbing)
  • The Cliffhanger. Mimi and Lunella's secrets have created some serious breaches in trust between their family, with Pops noticeably hurt that Mimi kept this from him. Meanwhile Adria, while she does praise Lunella for growing into an ideal example of a superhero, counters that she's still her mother and ends the episode by declaring she's done being Moon Girl. She can only look on in shock as the last thing we see before the credits is the framed picture of the family cracking.
