Tabletop Game / Chemicards

Go To

Sometimes we all like to mix and match some versions of Uno for added challenges and fun, but what if, let's say, we mixed all the existing versions into one big card game?

Youtuber Massacre's Mansion had that idea, and decided to turn it into a real project, albeit being called differently in order to avoid a Fan-Work Ban.

Chemicards (This is the finalized name that will be used when the project will be eventually sold, but it also goes under the Code Name of "UNO Amalgam") is an ongoing tabletop project aimed to mix EVERY. SINGLE. VERSION. OF. UNO.* to ever be officially released by Mattel, by adding every possible color, gimmick, wild cards and rules of each version into one massive concept.

So far the project has been going quite smootly, and every two weeks MM uploads a new entry going over clarifications and entries that will be included (or not) into the list, on top of also updating the ruleset.

The playlist can be found here.

Wild trope slap!

  • Adaptation Amalgamation: Pretty much the main concept of the entire project.
  • All Your Colors Combined: From the inclusion of the Non-Partisan edition and Flip version in the series onwards, a lot more colors got added, such as: Purple, orange, cyan, pink, white, gray, and much more. A lot of the color specific wild cards also gained a major boost thanks to some of the games using these specific alternative colors.
  • Adapted Out: Every single UNO game that haves a "B. U. G." is now reworked in favor of using dices. The main reason behind it comes from MM wanting the game to not be too much overpriced.
    • UNO variations that have zero to no new gimmick over the original one or are just a copy of an existing gimmick that is already in the project will be eliminated.
  • April Fools: A downplayed example within the Mattel catalog, as MM has included DOS on the project since it became an official game despite being initially an April Fools' joke. There are also plans to include the draw +100 from Show em no mercy, which was revealed on April 1st in 2024.
  • Ban on Politics: Due to the inclusion of the Non-Partisan Edition of UNO, a VETO card is utilized as a secondary item to be placed somewhere on the table. Its effect is to be slapped whenever any player mentions anything remotely political, getting their turn skipped in the process.
  • Colorblind Confusion: Avoided. For this version, the game will include some symbols in the cards and dices to help colorblind people recognize what is the correct color. Due to ColorADD being unfortunately under a copyright, MM has opted on utilizing the dents from UNO Flex as alternative.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Some of the wild cards are assigned to a specific color, making them more situational compared to wild cards that have access to all of them. Despite the more situational drawback, due to the amount of special cards with unique effects accessible to specific colors, they can be used in more tricky ways.
  • Fun with Acronyms: B. U. G. is short for "Big Useless Garbage".
  • Leitmotif: Let's Play from Ubisoft UNO is the main theme of the series, and is utilized in every episode.
  • Loads and Loads of Rules: Unfortunately, due to the main idea, the rules will be many due to every single gimmick being utilized, and are still being updated to this day.
  • Original Character: As UNO Ultimate Marvel is part of the project, MM is working on creating original characters to replace the copyrighted heroes, all having heavy science influence in them to fit the theme of Chemicards. So far, only the theme of some of the selectable characters have been made, with the designs not yet revealed or finalized.
  • Our Clones Are Different: The characters of Alex and Alex are two clones that, according to their theme description, are a male and female. One of the two Alexes is a clone made from the DNA of the other, but it seems that they don't know, nor don't care who is the clone out of the two.
  • Put on a Bus: A strange case of this comes from all the official cards made by Mattel who never got an official print, including the above-mentioned Draw +100. As of now, these cards are not officially implemented to the project, but are included in the list as possible inclusion in a future expansion.
  • The Southpaw: Due to the existence of UNO Left Hand edition, the game will be leftie friendly.
  • The Chosen One: Only games made by Mattel that are related to UNO and include the "From the makers of UNO" label are allowed to be part of the project. This means that fanworks, bootlegs, fanmade expansions, or official Mattel games without the previously mentioned label will not be allowed.
