• "Monkey Magic" is a pastiche of Toy Story.
• "Shōnen Heart" recreates the classic Japanese tale of Momotarō, only with an old man as the protagonist instead of a young boy.
• The plumbers in "Bambina" are clear references to the Mario Bros..
• "Koi no Dance Site" is a Fairy Tale Episode retelling of Cinderella. The stage is even called "Cinderella Proclamation! Will Junior Turn His Face Toward Her!?" ("Cinderella sengen! Junior wa furimuku ka!?").
• The giant blue mouse in "Taiyō ga Moeteiru" and the giant cat in "Zoku" are most likely references to Japanese monster movies such as Godzilla, which usually feature Tokyo getting destroyed by a giant creature. "Taiyō ga Moeteiru" itself is a parody of Toku shows in general, with specific references to Ultraman in Ichirou's powers and him being referred to as "Salary-MAN" and "Ichirou-MAN".
